Watching a twitter feed atm and wow... lol... The vigilante justice threats are out in full force...
Honestly though I don't really think many people commenting on this have any idea what actually happened with the trial... I think it's more about a black kid dying at the hands of what they think is a white guy...

He was convicted guilty by the court of public opinion, a few news companies the night it happened, and even the President jumped aboard. This became a high profile case based on race alone sadly.
Give it a month tops and there will be a civil suit brought against him and we'll get to see this for another year to come. He'll be in debt the rest of his life so deeply that he'll wish he was in prison probably.

And yet the Boston bomber trial is starting, he pleaded not guilty. Also, 19 fire fighters were just killed. Today a train crashed in Paris killing 6. We still have 2 wars going on. Our country (well mine) is accused... with what seems like proof of spying on our allies. Around the country people are killed, raped, and beaten every day in malicious and awful manners.
edit: oh and there was a shooting in San Francisco where 2 people died.
But let's not worry about that... this trial is all that's important.

There's a swath of civil suits being filed already... some by zimmerman.. others by the martin family... then there are some against the state that have to do with misconduct in discovery...
I will say this though... civil suits are a lot harder to come out on top when the criminal case went the other way...

Prosecution overcharged him. But now the family can sue him for everything he has, and the story will continue. Good, and when the family is done, he can sue NBC, ABC, CNN, the state of Florida, and the DoJ.

There weren't any orders given, only suggestions. It's just another example of the vocabulary being manipulated in this case. 911 dispatchers arn't trained to give orders because that makes them responsible for what happens. Even if they gave orders, 911 dispatchers don't exactly have any authority whatsoever.
Involuntary manslaughter demands that he was acting in a criminally negligent manner. After he lost the kid it should've just ended then, but somehow he ended up getting into a fight with the kid as he was walking back to his car when the kid should've been back in his dad's home playing video games by then?
According to what all i've heard and seen Martin approached Zimmerman trying to start a fight, Martin was found to be on drugs at the time, and when interviewed his girlfriend said she was on the phone with him and she said it sounded as if Martin started it.

His friend (Rachel Jeantel) was on the phone with Martin right before the fight and claimed that Zimmerman started the fight, except she had no real basis for that because all she heard was that the phone cut off. She did prove, however, that the only person that was undeniably using any sort of racially-charged language was Martin, who referred to Zim as a "Creepy-*** cracker".
Martin is suspected to have a history of drug use but that wasn't brought up in the trial since the judge deemed the evidence irrelevant.
Technically there is no actual undeniable proof that Martin was the one that initiated conflict, but there is circumstantial evidence in the timetable that shows that Martin had 4 minutes to reach home and he somehow ended up fighting Zimmerman not far away from his car. Logically that would mean at some point either Martin decided to hang around waiting to see Zimmerman or he doubled back for some reason.
But let's not worry about that... this trial is all that's important.
I'm capable of following lots of stories at once myself, but I do agree that it's really ridiculous that this story out of all the other things going on is getting so much attention.

The trial is getting this much attention, not because a young man was killed, but because of racial tensions here in the states...

He was a city block captain for that area, but either way they were fighting and clearly they were rolling around if 2 eye witnesses said they seen one on top of other and other on top of one.
From my understanding Martin had bashed Zimmermans head into the curb, and there was video proof of it.
They show him in the station bleeding from the head.
And yes this one really is ridiculous about the amount of attention its getting, because race on race crimes happen EVERYDAY (America needs to wake up if they dont see that)
Only reason why is because Obama made the statement "If i had a son....he would look like Trayvon"

Lets all agree on 1 thing here though, all these teenagers saying that Civil Rights Failed and they are going to go kill a Mexican or White person because Zimmerman got off with it are all going to go to jail.
And they deserve it for acting like that over a trial.
I dont have a twitter but the OP Link has the twitter feed which is very entertaining to see all these people threaten entire groups.

There's no video proof that Martin was bashing Zimmerman's head into the curb, but he did have wounds on the back of his head (Then there's the people that claim he faked his wounds and broke his own nose to make his own story more believable...), but there was a witness that saw a dark clothed individual (Trayvon) over a lighter-clothed individual (Zim). This is the only witness that saw anything during the fight. All the other witnesses that claim the reverse were never outside during the fight, they were either people that come out after Zimmerman had already shot and was trying to restrain him (He didn't know he fatally shot him) or, in some cases, some of them never went outside at all, and basically said things on the stand that were the equivalent of "I decided that's what happened later because there's no way that little boy is the aggressor".

The only situation where I can remember that ever happening is if there were people issuing threats, even if they sound ridiculous.

There's a difference between specific threats and people spouting vague emotional outbursts.

I wouldn't call dispatchers "trained professionals" then again a friend of mine was one for about a year...
I still want to know how a jury of 6 women equals to a jury of a man's peers, I mean at least throw one male on there...

Chad Johnsons tweet was the best. Sad truth really, Zimmerman may be 'free' but he'll never be able to live freely in society again

The prosecution should have stuck to one item, and one item only. It is clear if you take the 10-15 mins to listen to the 911 call, and Zimmerman's interrogation tape. The dispatcher clearly tells Zimmerman to wait at the clubhouse for the police, and cease pursuit of Martin. In the interrogation the detectives clearly ask Zimmerman why the *** he proceeded to follow Martin after the dispatcher told him to wait at the clubhouse. Zimmerman evades the question in the interrogation. Why? Simple he has no sensible excuse for not following those common sense instructions.
He claims he shot the kid, because he was afraid for his life. If he had sat his dumb *** in the car at the clubhouse where he belonged waiting for the cops to arrive he would have been in zero danger. The fact that the retard can clearly be heard muttering "these *** punks always get away" on the 911 call in addition to his failing to listen to the dispatcher is pretty clear cut. He wanted to be the bad *** neighborhood watch pseudo enforcement guy. He was out there with a chip on his shoulder, and a gun. Not an intelligent combination, but hey it's Florida.
Stand your ground baby! Whether it is a bully cop wannabe showing those punk kids who the boss is. Or the retired Colonel who blows off the guys head banging his wife/girlfriend, and claims he thought she was getting raped. Or the woman who fired a warning shot at an abusive husband/boyfriend, and gets 20 years for discharging a weapon improperly. Take your pick.

The case had nothing to do with stand your ground laws.

The prosecution didn't purely pursue the line of "he was irresponsible for getting out of his car" because that's the same kind of logic as saying that women are to blame when they are raped for dressing slutty.
Quote: Zimmerman why the *** he proceeded to follow Martin after the dispatcher told him to wait at the clubhouse
Huh? He didn't get the suggestion to stop perusing until he was already doing it and the dispatch could hear the sound of wind in the phone, after which he replied, "ok" and you can hear him slowing down.
After that he claims he was looking for a street sign and got assaulted walking back to his car. It's up to you if you want to believe him or not but the fact is that he stopped pursuing because he lost Martin anyway.
How far back do you want to go for "if he would've never x, it never would've happened". When he bought a gun? When he joined the Neighborhood Watch? When he got hungry enough so that he wanted to go the store?
By Kimble2013 2013-07-14 01:07:15
Its sad that this happened and someone lost their life but you can't really convict someone when you have no proof of what really happened.
