Thanks to Nintendo's Swapnote messages, I just turned off my game without saving because I completely forgot that launching another program closes the game... >_>;;;;;; Welp.. time to get yelled at by Resetti.

Hi, I'm a total Animal Crossing noob but I just bought the game today. Any tips and stuff would be appreciated. I have oranges in my town and my friend code is 3668-8121-3059 though I'm not too sure how to open my town and stuff though. ^^;

just a few tips :)

-Fruit stacks with each other, just drag and drop a fruit (same kind) on top of each other, makes stacks of 9
-Drawers in your house are connected to the locker on the train station, also, if you visit another town, you can see your stored items in their locker.
-3DS Coins (ones you get from walking around your 3ds) can be used to buy fortune cookies at the store, these will usually net you fun or cool items.
-when planting a tree, make sure there is space adjacent to it, it needs space to develop and mature, otherwise it will never grow (and will need to be chopped down and removed)
-fruit grows every 3 days, fruit not native to your town will sell more.
-different fish will pop at different times, morning, noon, evening, night. also, more fish will pop during rain.
-shaking trees will sometimes drop stuff, money, an item, a bug, or even a beehive and angry bees~ >:|

KR QR codes

THEM KR CODES. *v* GODDAMN IT SABEL OPEN YOUR HEART UP TO ME FASTER.

Also another tip if you meet with a sleezy lookin dude that's named Redd watch out he sells fake stuff.

How do you do those codes btw? I open up the 3ds camera and click the box thing, hover it over the codes and it says invalid? D:

You have to talk to Sabel once a day for 10 days or so. When she opens up to you she gives you the option of scanning QR codes and stuff in game.

one thing as well id like to add to misao's post,
talk to every NPC everyday, this will build ya relationship between them and ya, and will sometimes unlock new features, shops, ect~

i also had to zoom in a bit on mine for them to read lol

I have a bunch of oranges and peaches I can give out to people who don't have them and ant to grow their own trees. I have some perfect oranges and pears but not that many. I don't know if ill have my gate open much this weekend since I got into the 14 beta. I'll probably time travel some to unlock qr-codes and to get more fruit since its too early where I'm at for shops to be open. I wonder if other people will be able to use my qr machine once I get it. I also am close to the first nookling upgrade. Hopefully the change holds when I time travel back.
