Old Player Returning

hello everyone,

all is said in title, Im returning in ffxi till, at least, fxiv comes out.

I played for around 8-9 years and stoped one or two years ago, a bit after abyssea system and vwnm comes out.

I have nin blm and sam 99, dont think Im well geared for today though...

so Im back since 1 week ago, and feel a bit lost and alone, dont know where to start and how ^^

so :

- whats the most usefull and the most played job nowadays ?
- Im looking for a social/event ls (dony need to be hardcore or endgame ls, just need a good one ^^)
- Im gmt scheduled (french), so an eu ls, or french , or any gmt based one would be nice...

Kind of a rough time to re-start. A lot of the game's activities may be obsoleted due to SoA, and due to the episodic/slow unlock nature of the expansion, no one really knows how extensive the obsolescence will be.

For me, it's hard to get motivated to get a bunch of stuff that may or may not be on the chopping block, but I'm sure it will be approximately as fun as you remember if you only plan to play for a short time.
