So far, with my Geomancy and Handbell capped at 190 at level 60, Geo-Poison appears to be doing 14-15 dmg or so. Not that's it too important of an observation since it's level 60 and all. I'd give more conclusive numbers if I could, but I have no one to brenner with, or to run around with to test on the Corse NM.

I've been playing around with your chart, and I'm confused. Casting from any direction never shortens the recast. Maybe it's actually fast cast and not Recast? Also, West side of the mob gives MAB for me, not east.

Hmmm... for some reason I still can't get the Shorten Recast Time to work. I'm kind of leaning toward maybe a translation error and it actually being Fast Cast and not Recast? I dunno. I'll wait a bit more.

Sadly, at my current level, I don't have access to any Fast Cast gear. ; ;
So I'll have to wait until I level up some more, or someone else can do it.

edit: someone else said it was casting speed as well, so it might as well be fast cast.

Well at least I wasn't seeing things then. xD I felt like I may have been casting faster, but I wasn't 100% sure since my longest casting elemental spell atm is Water III.

I don't understand how it can be Fast Cast when the effect, theoretically, doesn't go off until the spell actually goes off. So unless SE just plain old lied about that part...

So unless the trait can travel though time to know where the target's going to be when the spell lands, it can't apply Fast Cast to that spell.

Technically though, Fast Cast can be applied in the way that it also lowers recast by a slight amount. Start in pre-cast set, then finishing the spell nuking southward, the CC-Fast Cast could stack on top of normal recast. Someone will have to try this.
It was a weird way for SE to describe it, but looking back, it does seem to affect recast.

I'm saying whoever said it was cast time as well as recast, and therefore meaning it grants Fast Cast, is completely wrong. Recast reduction, sure. We can even pretend it's Fast Cast applying to do it (instead of anything else that does the same thing), but it can't apply to the casting time of the spell since the spell's already cast when the effect is determined.

Two evenings of hardcore casting from the south side of mobs in crawler's nest has yielded exactly zero crits...

I noticed the crit, but they were pretty anti-climactic.
Unlike the MAB one, the crit one only seemed to have a chance to activate. So it didn't apply to every cast I did.

Before seeing this, a friend was explaining it to me in a garbled fashion... So the bonus is determined which side of the mob you cast from? Whether N/S/E/W; cast from the west for MAB for instance?

Anyone tested chr and mnd equip for buff spell? I'm curious to see if it affect the potency. If no one did i'll try when i get home.
And maybe int increase the potency of debuff.

Yeah, if you cast from the west you get MAB.
Edit:
Also, as previous testing found, if you cast from SW, SE, NE, or NW, you get half the bonus of each direction. For example, SW would be half M crit chance and half MAB.

So leveling GEO, lets get some observations compiled somewhere. The other thread can deal with finding where Geo- spells are located.
Full Circle recoups some MP used to summon a luopan in addition to dismissing the luopan.
Indi- effects stack.
