Yeah. I did the same thing man, i sold most of my masks and gave the rest away, not worried about BT point rewards this round, only going for the 5 free TE since you can usually get a pvp team that's easy pickings.

Starting out those brave point cards will look attractive but the chance to pull a 3☆ is insanely low; eventually you'll use all 1,2,3☆ as feeders for higher cards. Number one goal for you right now should be to complete Nina's trials. You'll get a 4☆+ from that, but the odds at 5,6☆ are insanely low, although possible. Trade lock is in place for next 2 weeks but you can't trade until playr level 31 anyway so it might not even affect you.
Most of us are at 30/30 available ally slots. Someone should be able to make room, post your player number when you get it. Also don't use the time elixirs or potions, the (p) personal ones you can use but you'll need to do the math and keep track of them yourself as the game lumps them all together in your total owned. Personal ones are used first, always.
Hmmm, what else? Ummm... When you hit 31 I have a ton of spare 4☆ cards, ill give you a couple to start off with.
I suppose I need to clarify, we say don't use the tradeable TE (time elixirs) or potions because they're the currency of choice in this game. With the recent addition of 7☆ cards to the game the price of 5 and 6☆ cards has plummeted. You can buy some decent 5☆ cards for 5-10 TE now and some good 6☆ cards have fallen to the 30-50TE range.

Damn boss rate seems to have gone down alot if I use an L lol. They pop fine if no mask or use S though. They want me to die and use a potion I bet.
10 L left, avg 1k per. 2400 an hour if I use S, so around 25 more hours maybe to get 280k ;; Least that's just 8 hours over the next 3 days.
Around 300~ rank on both sides too, currently 310 pvp wins.

I honestly just think it's random, and it's just super crappy no matter what. I've gotten ZERO bosses without the units with and without using the masques, and that's just plain horseshit if you ask me.
also, getting ready to log into FF14 final beta for the first time... already know i'm gonna play the game, but they sent the beta invite to my PS3 account, so I've been pretty blase about that as well since I hate MMO gaming on a console. Plus is don't have a keyboard for my PS3. :(

Meh, i doubt it'll fail. Lesser games are still going strong. I have no animosity toward any game in general, they are what they are. Just like anything else, i'll play it until it's not fun and then i'll play something else when it's not.
