Hmm no, never said war, but drk is (or was ? I stopped playing when they made delve boss easy enough so even you could win) better than mnk in our past, we've hit up to 1050-1100ish dps in scoreboard on drk and sam before the hugeeeeeee acc/att/stat buff on wpn, but I'd like to see your number in game at the end of a boss fight :3

war can spike pretty insane damage during mighty strikes, but unless that is the crux of a strategy, it rarely keeps up worth drk.

You stopped playing because delve/adoulin is a giant empty nut, not because it became too easy. You were the ones praizing the idea of a NM droping the best of the cream weapon. Now you got negative consequences. The whole server has oat, even mules, and there is no reason to kill tojil twice. ==> you quit.

You are pointing a failure from FFXIV which is similar to ffxi ; it's that DDs have to wait forever to get an invite. Mdk told we the average wait time on tank is 5 seconds.

That's a problem with all MMOs. The designers never seem to know how to make tanking fun (or at least fun enough to attract the unwashed masses) and also never balance to have 1/3 of the jobs (and, by extension, playerbase) be tanks. Using FFXI as an example, we have maybe three jobs that can be considered tanks design-wise, and of those only one is still relevant in that role right now (three designed would be Paladin, Warrior, and eventually Ninja; Paladin is the only relevant one). I'll grant that Monk and a few other straight DD jobs have been tanks here and there, but they aren't strictly designed for it. So 3 jobs out of 20 are made to tank. It's no wonder. Ditto the healing problem, we have four jobs that can heal, five if you wanna stretch the definition and include Summoner, and of those only White Mage and Scholar seem to have the necessary efficiency. It's hardly a surprise when you design a game to have 80%+ of the players be DDs that no one plays the other jobs. I eventually grew to really enjoy tanking, but even then, I like it a lot better in other MMOs than FFXI.
Also, did I step into a time warp when I clicked this thread? I kinda thought the serious arguments about which DD job was best had died back in 2009 or thereabouts. Is the monster dead? Then the jobs you brought are enough. Who cares if you have an alliance comprised of 9 Thieves, 3 Dragoons, and no Bards? All that matters is Bubbly Bernie is dead, right?

I wouldn't even call PLD a tank job atm. The only thing PLD does is take the least amount of dmg while dealing far less dmg than the DD that are actually tanking the mob. If the PLD isn't trying to tank, it's holding 5 other NMs taht the DD jobs will get to tanking/killing soon enough.

You never truly know why someone stops playing Pchan. I wonder if Jinjo is disappointed with where Pchan has taken this series of discussions.

You can go and try to hold two trash mobs in delve with your lolmnk. I don't even talk about NMs.
Maybe you also want to /rdm on your lolmnk for hennetiel run since apparently spending mp is more efficient than using /ja for you.
Some groups are going with one RUN to shark and kill very efficiently.
And obviously you don't like to cap att and get your abilities back for those NMs.

First part of your post sounds really dumb, second part is accurate. Though RUN is more of a safety net, nothing to do with efficiency.

I was trying to figure how pchan would do delve without PLD GEO or COR and with only MNK.

MNkx2 WHMx2 BRDx2 takes 5 Nms with 5 minutes+ to spare so I assume you mean that PLD is required for tojil (lol) ? People bring 1 and often 2 GEO only because they fill the SCH pt. It's by noway needed. Same goes for COR. Yes it help speeding up the fight but no they are not necessary. The minimum strat is probably MNK,MNK,SCH,WHM,BRD,BRD both BRD being DDB99+relic. The problem is that it's useless to kill tojil efficiently, it's been handing oatixurs to the whole server since the first JP kills, and it's a very poor gilmaker.

I thought you would have think about something smarter than that. I am disappointed. At least you could have said MNK x2 SCH GEO sub blm BRD and COR with COR or BRD pulling.
All would have to be perfectly geared and anyway you would lose too much time fighting adds if you ever survive the first pull.

Tojil was a very good gil maker, especially if you multiboxed or sold spots. At the moment it's a little mediocre, but outside of ADL, what is better? I can make like 1.5m/30min with 3 characters, which isn't inhibiting my groups at all. (Excluding possible horns)

ADL is ~40M in 4 hours with 6, easily 5 boxed too. If RREMD get back on top, you might be seeing plenty of afterglows soon : the fight became much easier, PD not needed anymore though recommended, bettr weapons etc. I'd say it's roughly 5 times easier. Easily 2 or 3 boxed.

Those 5mins aren't spare though, as you fail to defeat the boss of fracture, none cares about the pre-nm.
And will do so, continuously, without utilizing more party-enhancing jobs, or you go buy Oatixur from a capable group.

Nope, if you want to kill tojil with 5 NMs you probably only need to add 2 MNK and 1 whm or 2 MNK and 1 SCH. The key to victory is stun, sadly. Delve is hard content guys.
