Monty can hold its own pretty well, I've been using with since my return and it's fun as heck tossing out triple attack torcs and
ws-spam lol. Just gotta make sure your gear can cover the lack of acc on it but the stp/TA is great

if you like scythe too the jse one is 3m~ roughly to make and does great until apoc is AG.

Yeah, perhaps the relic head page needs to state it will increase Drain 3's boost but not Drain 2's. Now I'm in two minds whether to increase DS and lower DE or not.
It adds a certain flare for using apoc and riding SE I'll add especially if you can get to cap hp, best I've done was on the SR dragon MBd with 7700hp and delve matamata 9999 which I admit is fun as hell but great sword I'm betting still wins out
Do you need to keep the head equipped for the augmented Dark Seal to take effect when you cast? I thought you could macro it for DS and take it out after?
Needs to be in for the "landing" of the spell and I believe activation, but your not missing out on any FC really since it's reducing drain3 cast time by 50% fully merited too. Haven't gotten around to playing with gearswap so I don't think there's any way of getting pixie+1 in there for more potently sadly but that's why I try to MB it
Tried Drain 3 out with 5 points in Dark Seal. It's good because by the time your HP boost wears, DS+NV are close to being ready again.
And you are right, relic head +1 needs to be on to increase Drain 3's HP boost past 4 minutes. Sadly Pixie +1 is only good for aspir or lower drains. needs to be on midcast, and yes 5/5 imo is a must. full time 6k hp everywhere.
Oh cmon you know you really wanted pixie+1 for the awesomeness of infernal scythe!
Joking aside I still use it to try keeping my hp buff with drain2 got approx 5min4sec on abs str outside jeuno using chupa black head/legs/hands/feet and oddly 5min10sec using af+2 head swapped in over black head
edit: once again no lib, apoc edit2: used kishar in both sets too I been eyebelling (egads!) the various absorb gear i have and it seems like ankou (ambu jse) abs effect is less then 10%, what is the best way i could go abouts testing:

I make sure AM is up and throw down a Darkness or Grav and MB it. I could easily hit capped HP against Omen bosses. MB Dmg is super important as its the biggest bonus you'll receive. Also Circle and Founder's Shirt boosts Drain damage as well against whatever mobs killer effect is working on. Edit: I should mention the boots are Dark Matter augmented with MB Dmg+15% lol. @Geriond
After reading about your idea for dt/hp hybrid set, I'm at the crossroads point of contemplating doing the same thing. I actually need Regal Hands for the huge HP boost to really give me a solid build, though. It does, although I should say that Archon ring still outperforms other options during MBs.

After the number is chosen it goes through the normal magic multipliers that apply except it skips the MAB/MDB multiplier. So MBs, Gambit, etc. all apply to this. And Skill started affecting duration the same time they removed the decay. It's especially nice if you're accuracy deficit, maxed out you could push it to like over 6 minutes with Dark Seal for a juicy 50-75 Accuracy boost.
