I think if they improved every single thing that was wrong in FFXI they would have the perfect game... j/k hahaha kinda..
I can't say for sure the list is too long for things I'd fix. Which is strange... >_> because I <3 FFXI..
I guess I want to see an entirely new game that has a slight look and feel of FFXI, but is more of a game than a job.

a few new races, enemy races (like crabs >.>) that look a lot different from eachother and are in various sizes, zones that arent too big (like windy), more inventory slots, some type of bar like (exp tnl) to tell how many more .1's you need to get to next crafting skill level.....and i cant think of any more atm, ill post some more ideas when i can think of some lol. :3

Rapid firing guns for any potential gun wielding classes. At the worry of sounding like I'm demanding a machine gun in some form, just a gun that fires a couple of times in succession for the coolness factor.
It's the one thing FFXI's RNGs are missing, in my humble opinion. The ability to literally go "PewPewPew" with a gun. Which I'd love. I've always wished FFXI had a "Chainshot" ability or trait that had an X% of chance of kicking in, which resulted in firing 2-3 shots extra a shot.

Normally I'd hate this "let's throw random sci-fi" thing FF likes to do, but you really can't turn down lasers. Death Ray as a spell was far too disappointing and un-laser-like for me.

Elder Scrolls style gameplay... increase major skill x10 = level up, your level up = HP stats, your stats = better capabilities with skills which in turn help you level skills = level up. I completely agree. I love Oblivion in many of it's aspects. For stuff like FFIV I would like, i.e. crafting to be made by a click of a button to make a potion (like in Oblivion) and to always skill up for each potion made to save time, because I'm sure ppl hate the long hours crafting in FFXI in hope of a .1 skill up.
However, the skill up portion seems flawed in ways such as everyone could get maxed crafting skills and no one will make money off others.
Also, a PvP system where you can fight wherever you want (aside from towns) where you can ask a player to PvP in some sort of menu option, and the opponent must accept the PvP to begin battle

What about like getting rid of that stupid piece of sheet son of a beach security 3d retard filter when you switch of credit card to pay the monthly fees,.. Implement some scratches card ala prepaid cards to pay the monthly fees ;_;. and my third wish, would be, include 360 users too,. the idea is to try to keep the same ffxi community to do the " faith jump"... to XIV. About the gameplay,hope they fix the you-cant-engage-an-ebemy-when-someone-is-buffing-you. well, dunno, just hope we dont regret it and wanted to go back to XI. new things not necessary are the best..

Oh, and not fighting the same critters over and over again to hit level cap would be nice. Got old beating up caterpillars, crabs and lizards for so many levels.

Remember people... FFXIV is not FFXI reborn. The only thing they're keeping are the races and that is it. The jobs, quests, nations, zones, and everything else is changing.
There are no experience levels. No one knows how new skills are learned or how your character improves currently.
There are 4 disciplines. Each with 5 classes underneath them. 10 combat orientated jobs and 10 jobs geared towards crafting and gathering.

Well I just hope it's the simple things that should have been taken care of ages ago that get fixed. Like equipped gear taking up inventory room is pretty lulzy.

If we get enough decent ones I might compile a list and sticky it. Seeing as Scragg has given us this nice new shiny forum I figured it might be a good place to actually start asking the question, what do you want to see in the next FF MMORPG?Please try to take into consideration some of the things that have already been stated as fact e.g. There will be no character transfers. Personally, better use of instanced events is a must. Possible more instanced events for lower level characters to keep them interested. True use of player vs many enemies without having to use sleepga or something similar so one enemy can be battled at a time instead of fighting many at a time.
