Rng 60 Gear

Hey everyone, I'm just hoping for some gear upgrade suggestions for my ranger. Currently it's equipped as follows

Dual Hawkers's knives - Selene's bow - Demon/PPA Arrow
Hunter's Barret - Ranger's Necklace - Dual Drone earrings
Hunter's Jerkin - Hunter's Bracers - Crossbowman's Ring - Woodsman ring
Augmented Wolf mantle (HP+6 attack +3 Ranged attack +4) - Survival belt - Jaridah Salvars - Hunter's socks.

The reason I'm still wearing my Ranger's necklace is because my ranged acc is just fine and 80k for a jagd Gorget on my server seems to be a bit much for a single extra point of Ranged attack seems a little stupid to me, but oh well lol.

I look forwards to some good advice!

Thank you for the reply, but I'm afraid I don't have the gil for an E-bow nor the sniper +1's for obvious reasons, though I did used to do the BCNM for E-bow with a pretty nice success rate. Sadly half hte group I used to do it with left pretty much all at once.

I do have an amemet+1 ready for use when I level though.

I edited my post, np, then u should get scorpion ring+1 x2 and why not spend some time camping V.Bow? Selene is a good one but u should try get V.Bow.

As long as you don't take Kavien's advice and be a total-crap-RNG like he's trying to make you into, you should be okay.

Btw, if you don't have the money for E Bow, you should make the money. RNG not having E Bow is worse than THF not having Blau Dolch.

I would like to either find a group with the right jobsets for the BCNM or hunt it down, sadly from what I've read up about eastern shadow it's kinda a *** NM

I've never lost a run of Brother's D'aurphe before using hte following setup: nin/war, nin/war, Sam/rng, whm(or rdm)/x, blm/x, blm/x. The one e-bow dropped from our multiple runs, and of course it was on the whm's orb. XD

RINGS: Scorpion.
EARRING:Geninfor/nin
DEADEYE EARRING FOR WHEN YOU HIT 61
Vision you can tp and macro in drone I guess.
BACK:...get Amemt mantle+1 at 61.
FEET:AF/Akinji Nails + anything with Str to macro in.
LEGS:Akinji Salvors
BELT: Recise belt macro in str.
HANDS: Deadeye gloves, macro in str.
BODY: AF and the JSE for whatever.
NECK: Rangers is fine, the Jagd is only +1ratk
HEAD: AF
Bow: Ebow..
Xbow: Heavy Crossbow +1
Gun: Forth gun

Thats for around level 60. Go farm for moneys =\

Yep rng is one of the most expensive if you don't wanna miss WS and do massive damage.

Just saying snipers+1 over Scorpion ring+1 makes ya look HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE. lol.

And in reality, DEPENDING on your route of expertise [mine is in archery, so I hardly use my Othinus' Bow more than I do my Selene's], you'd be saving money.

I personally have my WW up to scorpions, working on Demons still.
But I save gil a lot by crafting more than just spam-> buying on ah.
You will save just a little more money, if you can craft your own stuff.

Prices will fluctuate on your server, so take into account how many stacks youll get on a x99 synth. On average, you're looking at maybe 2-3 stacks. 4, if youre AT the required level to make w/o breaks. So yea, have fun with RNG. Loveable job, and still goin strong as a RNG! :D

My expertise is bow 8/8 archery E bow is still over 3M on my server. I still can't afford some of the gear I need to complete my ranger.

I'm still missing a few items myself, but I'm half way there atm to full RNG completion. Yes, I picked Suppanomimi [sue me *** =P] over Bushinomimi.

I had an opportunity to do a DM [w/o dying more than 2 times in a run]
And chose my Suppa over Bushi due to the fact that I've considered lvling BLU or THF possibly next to target. So nya to everyone. lol. STR+2 is sexy, I'll admit.

But I have no real desire to want to lvl SAM. THOUGHT about DRK, but really, I wouldnt worry bout the skill so much, since I'd have to get the 8/8 first anyways.

But with suppa, blu, nin and thf persay would have much better uses on that earring. And Ive really considered NIN, BLU or THF lately. Mostly BLU. So yea, would be helpful for me.

can use AF head til O.hat. macro in wyvern helm for WS.
vision earring/genin (if /nin), drone earring.
rangers necklace is just fine until you can get hope/faith torque.
can use AF body til osode. full time osode.
use deadeye gloves til crimson hands/S.kote/skadi hands.
scorpion ring +1 x2 then upgrade as you level.
amemet +1.
precise belt. macro in royal knights for WS. good til scouts or buccaneers.
jaridah/akinji salvars til AF2/p.pants/skadi pants.
AF feet, marine feet can be full timed (if youre hume) til AF2.

as for weapons, vulcans/axe grip pretty much blows the crap out of anything else. unless youre gonna melee. kriegs/woods if you plan to melee. and for other ring/ear choices, fenrir's earring, triumph earring, rajas, and jalzahans rings are good choices.

This was my 60ish gear, I am Hume so some of this gear may not apply. Maybe it will help some anyways..

Stack up on the Range acc gear, and Macro STR gear. more str = more dmg.
sub war if u want to, but that might compromise ur safety. use scorpion arrows macro, in the demons. save u some money that way.

or demon and unlimited shot kabura arrows.
a good player knows how to macro around gears.

At those lvls usually mobs will be easier to hit so, imo, if you use sushi and you aren't missing too much switch to some str gear instead of R.Acc. I remember having a load of R.Acc. and hitting mobs almost 100% of the time with sushi. So maybe you can play around switching a couple of slots with str. But if you are still missing a lot of arrows then you shold follow the gear posted by the guys above.

Sista lets ACP ourselves some RNG bodies so you can sell that kyu and afford some of the other things you need :3 Merit with me, im 73 RNG now, Id kill to get 75 and maybe come to sky RNG for a change :3

Ebow, to my knowledge, seems to be better at dropping since it became R/Ex, so it's not as bad as it use to be. Hell, it's not as bad simply cause you aren't camping against RMT anymore. I went 1/68 on Ebow, then went 1/3 on Vbow after the change.

Break Rng? I don't consider 9-12k damage on Suzaku in 30 seconds broken >.>

Go cheap when the rest of your party don't deliver! If it's a great party please never go cheap! If you go cheap even in great party then you might have picked the wrong job!

On the food side, if you have not tried it yet check out the Pot-au-feu(str, agi, racc, ratt) and it doesn't cost much.

I did not have much problem on the acc side in the 60's when I changed my dagger/axe for a staff and axe grip (more str always good).

Not about gear but if you get a party where you know you can trust your tank then have some fun and try /war! It's easy to manage hate if you do not over do it.
