The anime was actually pretty good at following the manga (though it dragged it out sometimes). Though the anime had some censored parts when it got a bit too bloody. I think you should read it.
This is the first chapter after the fullbringer arc:

I have a feeling old enemies are gonna be the saviors here I'm going to guess it's Nell back to her old form.
Why would Nel attack Urahara? And if it was her, she'd have dealt with Orihime and Chad first, which are keeping her safe.
Yeah, it makes no sense for an ally to attack to attack Urahara.
Also I think we have to assume this is someone able to open the tunnel thing to Soul Society...now I don't remember exactly which people have such power, but I think only shinigami.
Unless you guys are talking about the arrow Urahana got on his back, that was back at 499 which I thought the Quincy was the one who did that before he sealed Ichigo in that cage. I was also think when he said "Before the power I absorbed from that monster vanishes...I will be sure toi get rid of you" I thought he was directing his attention to Urahana, Chad, and Orihime, which is why I think Nell might have revert back to her old form to kill him.

 I don't know about you, but I don't make a habit of sticking deadly weapons in my friends' faces.

At the end of the chapter someone points the sword at Urahara's throat...I take that as a hostile action. Nel would have no reason to do something like that.
Edit: beaten! Its either one of the Espada we assumed was dead, or Gin.
I only say Gin because well, Guy Stabbed > ZOOM IN PANEL > Sword seems kinda like his Shikai in action. At the same time, He's assumed dead as well. I can't imagine who would want to kill the Quincy, and then attack Urahara. You'd think even the Espada would be smart enough to know that the Quincy's are both enemies and a temporary alliance would be the best bet rather than trying to fight both Quincy and Soulreaper at the same time. With Gin, Killing Quincy > Scaring Urahara would kind of fit his persona, cocky / walks the line. But then again... Looking forward to next week. Wow. I shouldn't have read this thread. Didn't know what happened to Gin. I'll guess I'll pick up again after Aizen was jailed. Have the writers explored more about Ichigo's dad?

Not yet, but Kubo said he's going to explore Isshin's past eventually.

Typical enemy goes for the kill. "Honorable" friend or enemy can stick a weapon in your face basically saying, "I got you." Then the enemy precedes to go on a one on one battle with both combatants ready. The only ally I could see behaving that way would probably be Hiyori.

At first I assumed it had to be an espada, most likely grim, but its highly possible that its Gin. He def has the power to destroy that quincy & having the speed to surprise Urahara plus put him in that situation is something that fits Gin's personality. Btw, yay this thread!

Also the person would just have to be fast not powerful. when ichigo was fighting him he was using all his power to defend and couldnt attack. since he was about to attack urahara and the others he wasn't in a defensive mode and was easy to cut down by a surprise attack. so really it could be anyone. but my money is on grimm.

Also I hope that they reason they are making ichigos bankai unstealable is not only so he can rape face... but maybe it will allow him to use the final form without losing his powers...

Died, or could mean, Vanished after the fight. I don't know what the one character book says about him. Can't wait til next week for sure though. He was badly injured but still alive and talking the last time we saw him. |
