Back in the day I made a lot of gil just farming, and that was before I leveled thief. I know a couple thf's and a nin can rape dyna, but I was hoping to find something I can farm solo. I'd like to make a modest 400k in 2-3 hours doing mindless killing. Any suggestions?

Who said you couldn't farm Dynamis solo? dont do city dynamis, cop will be as easy as youre looking for on the eps
http://wiki.bluegartr.com/bg/Dynamis#Dynamis_Proc_system Lvl blu, go to abyssea, get like 120ish amberlight and AoE kill ***for gold chests. You can make a good amount of gil in a few hours. I suggest Abyssea - Konschtat because dark rings sell for 33k to the npc, and u night get a good one or a refresh hairpin
Garudites. Cruor parties. XP pties even give decent cruor an hour if you are in a good party. Garudites go to grauberg S and kill the sappling (decent challenge) in wind weather. Or do dynamis.
Like 2nd poster said, you can easily solo farm dynamis zones. Pet jobs make things pretty easy to farm, I solo on PUP typically and pull in bout 150 pieces a run.
Anything int the ToAU areas worth farming?

some people farm nms and stuff in SSG, sea hog 100% drop on southern pearls with a 1.5hr+ repop.. depends what you want to do
not sure how your making 1.5M in dyna solo mindlessly, the stuff is pretty cheap now and dyna is really really boring

all of those can make you some gil. for ease and payout probably dynamis yields highest results solo once you are over the learning curve. Forgot about the forgotten stuffs, but you can solo 200 coins?

What I do is check prices on some of the loot from lower teir VW's, drop rates on them aint too bad + get cruor for kill aswell. can make about 75-100k cruor in x5 VW battles.
you could also try campaign battle for allied notes to exchange for a stack of jade cells. they sell well on the AH. farm Boyahda Moss, Ruszor Meat, Pug Eggs or slime oils on THF. solo Shooting Fish bcnm on SMN for chance @ thunder spirit pact. Campaign battles are easy and only require half attention, jade cells kick ***, cruor>gil on VW and cruor/xp parties is good ratio (VW not mindless, xp parties half the time you can just sit there 'afk for food rq' or whatever) and dynamis is great, especially if your thf is geared well enough for DCs. Inb4 run on sentence, grammar, etc.
Farm On THF Elder Goobbue = Boyahda Moss & Wisteria Lumber, the lumber u can sell it from the npc like 6k ish a piece
