Any AF1+1 Still Worth It?

A lot of jobs have a piece or two that remain worthwhile at 99. At least one for all of my jobs:

MNK - Body is still the best Chakra piece
PUP - Feet for repair macro
COR - Head for Quick Draw
NIN - Body for TP, Feet for extended time on 25% movement speed+
THF - Hands for Trick Attack
DNC - Legs for Waltz piece (if you don't have ASA legs with Waltz augment)
WHM - Hands for curing (or Hexa!)

DNC legs +1 suck. Get Tumbler's.

Capu is there an additional bonus on the +1's over the NQ for repair? I thought the repair bonus on feet was ailment curing.

Not sure I understand. DNC+1 legs and Tumbler's both have an identical CHR+5. DNC+1 legs also have VIT+5, which helps on waltzes targeting yourself (and I, and a lot of other people, often use DNC for solo and lowman). So how are DNC+1 legs not better than Tumbler's for waltz?

And yeah, I get that it's a very specific situational use, and that it's inventory -1 if you're already carrying Tumbler's anyway for WS.

I also get that Desultor Tassets with Waltz TP Cost -5 is a great option, but some people might be tied up with other options (for instance, I use Desultor for COR Phantom Roll and PUP Repair macro piece)


Oops. You're right, no difference to Repair between NQ and +1 for PUP feet. I just knew that I still use AF+1 feet for my repair macro, but I upgraded them long ago when the Acc/STR made them a good melee/WS piece too that's since outdated. These days, no need to do that.

I need ebony lacquer to upgrade my ninja body. Been farming NW Apollyon for the past couple weeks but I never see it. Is there a higher drop rate in a different apollyon?

I did the NIN body, and the NIN feet to +1, I might do the head/hands/legs just for the sake of being a completionist, but those are the two pieces I think I'll get the most use out of.

af1+1 thf has some good job trait stuff.
