For idle sets for various jobs, where you don't really need anything specific in them(the earrings) like -dt, what are ppl wearing?
I usually have some with magic evasion on them, but I'm wondering about switching it up to some MDB.
Any thoughts? Thanks!
Lol, thanks for the replies. I definitely omitted a key word from that question.. I was just wondering about the earring slot. The word "them" should've been "the earrings." My bad!

I usually cap xDT from non-earring slots, so Sanare + Eabani tends to be my go to set.
Odnowa can also be annoying for HP/MP yo-yoing, so I personally tend not to use that one.

I uninstalled and reinstalled FFXI. Now when I press ALT or CTR it takes forever for the macro bars to show up. Any idea what could cause this? All other input works as normal.

So for the, "Mysterious Weapon" grind for Oboro... are there any benefits to it? There's no like... hidden powers gained from it, right?
Also, if you already unlocked all the Dynamis Ds for each REMA type, does the option become unavailable to you?
After this week, I'll have about 5200JP left (so 8 weeks), and am just curious if there's stuff out of the ordinary about it, other than it's the shitty path?

Obviously, though to be fair most social/casual event shells will just take their people through W3 for free, doesnt stop people charging 10m+ for W3 or a fewM for W1/2 RP farms

My internet search skills suck, so I'm gonna ask you all.
Wasn't there a way to "desynth" abjuration armor? I have a Khepri Jacket and some Lustratio pieces and some other random stuff from wherever I got them.
Before I just toss all this stuff, I thought there was something with Synergy to un-make it?

It takes the purified item (Dalmatica, etc) + the original abjuration (A. Body, etc) + either a colossal skull or umbral marrow and returns the original cursed item.

anyone else think the supply of pulse cells on asura is a little suspicious? asking here bc it probably doesn't warrant a new thread, but i have a hard time believing the supply is that high and the naming convention of the sellers is interesting.

Anyone with that much Asteria pulse though.... That's a bit of an oddity, botulous is rarely a good bot target

unless they have stock from previous campaigns they would need to proc to have a chance at a pulse for all those sales prior to the 11th, but i imagine yes a cor with 5x phase displacers could one shot it or near enough.

The public voidwatch lua people passed around had a bug that could turn any reward into a pulse cell for years. One line change and it becomes every reward. SE fixed it at some point, but there are probably mules sitting around with thousands of them that'll never run out.

This was pretty known, there's a whole thread on it from 2019:

Basically, the packet to take an item out said what item slot, and whether to remove as cell. If you said remove as cell for something that's not actually a pulse, it still took the item out of the box and gave you a pulse for whatever that NM drops instead.
The person who shared the voidwatch lua made a mistake that caused it to send 'remove as pulse' for non pulse items in certain conditions, and it could be easily modified to do that for every item.
Obviously, once SE was alerted, they changed it on the server end so that it no longer works.

figured it was a dupe, but amazed it was so old and that they still have some left after 5 years.
if you look at this guy, they seem to have plenty of dynamis shards and voids from that dupe left too...

It's unlikely to be related to that, there'd be many more up.
There could of course be mules with millions of cells deactivated. Unlikely but possible. This just looks like normal to slightly higher than normal.
It's not overly irregular to have 16 mules on all sixteen servers vacuum up all the (void warrior) and jump them to asura to sell at 2x-3x If they're gonna sell dupes it'll be the medals themselves or the mules that have 1200 rostams.
For those of you that visit Bg you already know the premise of this thread but for those that don't, it's simple.
