I figured that might have been it, but I tried a few mobs and it was the same thing. I swear you used to be able to cast Dia and ***from 24 yalms, unless my dad brain really got fried lately. Is there a specific Eudaemon item I need to make in order to pick up a MacBain?

Eudaemon item only affects the normal enemies that appear and bonus for that area - see https://www.bg-wiki.com/ffxi/Category:Alluvion_Skirmish#Eudaemons_in_Cirdas_and_Rala Using higher level items means bigger area, more time and quality of rewards. Got better results with the higher tier items when used to do it.

Can't augment that without doing Odyssey though right? I'm really out of the realm of my FFXI knowledge, heh.
(Also I'm at work til 3pm est today, 5 tomorrow, and 11 the next three days after that so... kinda busy x.x) Unaugmented Montante +1 is already better than Macbain's best possible stats.

I'm using the EU client to log one character in, and they're reliably dcing about once every half hour (perhaps to the second?) I checked the in-game auto-disconnect settings and they're configured to Off. WTF is going on?
Does pet: regen stack for diff. ambuscade cape augments? For example, you can get Pet: Regen +10 and +5. Will it give me +15?

You can do a ping to the server and it will tell you which step is dropping packets. For general Internet usage dropping packets won't really cause any issue but something like an MMO that needs a stable connection you are going to get disconnected. The only fix that can be done is using a VPN, SE can't do anything as its just the Internet infrastructure that's at fault. You can always wait it out and see if it fixes itself. Also yes it can just effect one character and the rest be fine.

If it was a connection issue, all clients would drop, not just the EU one every hour on the dot.
