Temp item room should be similar to the preparation room in Legion tbh.

Next time you have a job-specific question, check that job's forum. Each one already has extensive info posted in them.
Side note: I'd have worked on an Armageddon instead. I'd do that next if you're serious about RNG. Easy path - Carabosse/Cirein-Croin, both soloable.

It comes prepackaged with Windower now. Not sure if there's a newer version you're looking for but I can't seem to find another one either.
By Selindrile 2012-08-20 10:30:35
Prepackaged version is 1.4, 1.5 does exist though, and seems to contain some things I want.
By Solrain 2012-08-20 10:40:03
Damn, now I'm looking all over the place for it too and all the links are dead. This is gonna drive me crazy!
By Selindrile 2012-08-20 10:42:27
Welcome to my world! Been looking for it since reading the changenotes. They should really package it with windower ; ;

Sorrowful Sage has a new option to make a quick-buy. Quick-buy, use body boost, sprinters, and/or dusty wing, and rebuy for 30 minutes of Body Boost.
So can you just set all the temps you want for NNI? Are you limited to 3 items? Do you have to Quick-Buy before every run? Not at home to log on and go check it out right now.

You can, there's no limit to the number of items you can set.

Ah cool. Last question lol...When you kill the floor 100 boss do you get the Platinum KI upon his death, or do you have to Exit the Assault via the Rune to get the KI?

Upon his death, so it's convenient if you're extremely strapped for time.

Ok, I lied, one more question. Does using POLutils to change lamp names still work? Didn't SE post a DEV note recently talking about lamps and doing something to stop people from being able to cheat?

Nothing has been "fixed", but I'd advise against it. Doing it vanillia isn't impossible, or even uberly difficult so long as you have a strong team. The risks far outweigh the benefits as of now, as far as I'm concerned. My group runs all vanilla, we nearly always get into the 90s (Except horrible runs with disconnects, or no WS on All with big NMs or leader), and we usually time out at 99 if we don't win, because of *** floor jumps/layouts/etc.

I assume just a simple .dat swap doesn't work anymore since they scrambled the lamps and added those dummies?

As far as I know, it still works. Big, bold, red letters though: danger, and be careful. Don't ever <t> something in chat with a modified name, or imply that you have special eyes to your group.

Do you have to have the Savant +2 gloves on when casting Embrava for the Perpetuance bonus or can they be removed after using Perpetuance?

Yes, as long as everybody do their part well it should work :3
But just don't expect to get a similar winning-% as "optimal" groups!

I think your win rate will be below average but not 0. NNI is very luck based so sometimes you may get good jumps/objectives like code lamp or specified enemy. You'll probably struggle a little more than the average group on boss/kill all/specified enemies floors. Not that those jobs are terribad or anything, just that there are better options that would probably clear said floors a lot faster.

Reduces magic damage by 62/256 (~24.2%).
Each additional Merit upgrade increases this effect by 2/256 (~0.8%).
So the maximum Magic Damage reduction is 27.34%.

Yea that's pretty much my expectations. Don't really care about winning as often os the optimal group...just winning at all would be nice lol.
For those of you that visit Bg you already know the premise of this thread but for those that don't, it's simple.
Quote: This thread is for off-the-cuff questions that don't merit a full topic to answer. 'What should I wear for my level 65 pup?' 'What's the best way to learn the Qutrub Blu spell?'
General Guidelines.
Any questions goes be it FFXI related or not this community has a plethora of people surely one will be able to assist you.
Please don't bash people for asking questions hating someone for seeking knowledge even if you deem it a stupid thing to ask makes you look like an even bigger tool.
If your answer is on the large side either providing a link or spoilering the answer might be a good idea to help reduce the thread size.
