I would say it depends how much you're willing to put into your blm. They aren't the best nuking hands unless you're getting heavy resists but they are the best dark magic hands.

so good for let's say sleep, drain, aspir?
and probably better than anything I have currently, so why not.
what's the best nuking hands?

Sleep is enfeebling magic.
Those are also the best MBing gloves, probably, but they haven't been tested to my knowledge.

Does anyone know how long it takes for the Luminant to respawn in Attohwa Chasm for the feather quest?
Edit: Nevermind, it seems there are more places for it to spawn than just the two shown on wiki's map.

Currently reworking my Conserve MP sets in a fashion of Refresh > Conserve MP. Is there a point where I should stack more Conserve MP over slots with Refresh? I'm looking mainly at the Glove/Feet slots over Serpentes set. Currently sitting at about Conserve MP +43 if you include gear + traits.

Apparently Pchan proved that skillchaining is bad, so there will never ever be a reason to magic burst. Ever.

That depends on why you have a Conserve MP set, but the answer is very likely no.

I assume you're talking about Hmp since Cmp and refresh sets should never conflict.

It's for my WHM and I usually put CMP and Refresh on slots for spells where it doesn't matter what stat is on that slot (stuff like Auspice, Protect, Shell, etc). I know there is gear that affects these spells, but for the other slots, I like stacking the crap outta CMP and Refresh. Hence why I ask.
To be more specific, I'm looking to see if the +6 CMP on the two Cobra Mage unit pieces for feet and gloves would outweigh the 1 Refresh of Serpentes. I didn't think it would either, but I figure there would be no harm in asking.

I see I thought you might be making a resting set. If it's for spells like that I would go full Fast cast > full Cmp. Refresh really isn't going to give you back more than 1 or 2 mp during the time you're casting so it's kind of meh.

Just got told by pimpchan that "skillchaining was proven to be bad". Can someone approve this please? Found your problem. Ima start ignoring him lol. He obviously is godly and smarter than us because he has 99 spharai and mnk onry haha. Pointless. He also says stuff like sam and mnk gain tp almost at the same speed, and legion should be PD zerged lol. Thanks guys haha.

When people calculate haste, how do they come to the conclusion that something is 150/1024? Seems kinda strange to get that number o.o;
(that's the haste spell btw)

Because that's the way that FFXI quantifies haste. A lot of pieces of gear with haste on them don't have an exact value atm because they have to be tested individually for accuracy, for the most part. Face value of a % of haste isn't the "true" way of getting the haste value of a piece of gear unfortunately.

I meant how do they find out that it's 150? What do they do to come to that conclusion?

It was largely quantified by checking recast values of various spells with combinations of a march of a certain potency (since marches increase in potency by 1/1024 at each tier) + the item or spell in question. This was back at 75 cap. Different base recast values will shift down to the next whole value at certain fractions, so you can positively identify any non-JA haste value with a little work.

For instance, if two different pieces have +7% haste. Will they both have 71/1024 always? Or is it possible one is 71, and the other is 72?

No. That's why each piece has to be tested individually.
