Haeden tatters. You get them by cutting up H. abjurations in synergy furnaces (use a lvl 80 synergier).
while we're on the topic of synergy, If I have all my HQ staves, & would like to talk someone into making a chayont(sp?) staff, do I need to unlock anything for synergy? also what would be a good round-a-bouts reward for the synergist?

You could technically give them the staffs and allow them to do it, but for only 1k off of a NPC in port jeuno you can unlock synergy. This would make it so your fewell is used instead of theirs and remove risk of them stealing your materials.
I'd say 50-100k would be a decent reward, the synth isnt valuable enough to justify more but it can be time consuming to solo so less may not gather interest.

what resolution should i run FFXI through windower? im using a 16:9 WS monitor. Had to reinstall and forgot what resolution i was using.
I use 1680x1050, which I use 16:9 for ingame. That's fullscreen for me.
1 tatter for every augment.
Edit: Aka every time you try to augment you need 1 tatter, not "if you get 3 augmented stats on the item it uses 3 tatters" Anyone have a strategy for Empty Hopes/Empty Desires? Want to farm a Harfner's Sash but I can't seem to find a ton of information on the BC.

Sorry, just having trouble finding info on this drop.

is barrage subject to 8hit cap, like autoattacks and ws? about to +1 af hands and make ASA legs barrage/r.atk, but just read vague unresolved talks on the OF.
not sure if id just be better off with phantom roll recast for my cor if landing all 10 hits is rare, or simply not possible Llew tested it a few months ago. I'm 97% sure the result was that it could exceed 8 hits.
