Depends what you're after really. XP, Forgottens, Relic?
So I'm pretty much clueless about the New Years event. What are we supposed to be trading exactly?
I can't seem to find any info on it, in any search method. What are the names (is there a compilation somewhere?) of the skill up foods for combat skills, magic skills, and synthesis?
Just to warn people, some bright spark has graffitied the guild pattern which is making it display all the wrong items. Make sure you go and talk to your guild master before you spend some time crafting to make sure you're making the right item.
For example, I've already handed 5 Zebra Eel in today (because it said Zebra Eel earlier) and now it says Crescent Fish. Moat Carp is now apparently the Veteran item but it's not: it's the Newt doofers. A few people have put Moat Carp everywhere and it's thrown the whole pattern off. Edit: Nevermind, looks like somebody re-submit Zebra Eel to fix it! Sorry for the potentially stupid question, but I wanted to know if the zinc ore or Yagudo necklace quests for Norg fame cap at a certain reputation. I recently attained the items for my black belt, but my excitement was murdered when I realized I needed more fame. Some LS members mentioned that it might cap before reputation 6, and I wanted to check if anybody had some definite answers. Thank you for the assistance.

Anybody know of a decent non-empy/relic/mythic polearm I can use, other than Herja? Trying to get my drg back up to snuff as well as some other jobs. Is it basically OaT or bust? Even for Stardivers? Is the base dmg high enough to be worth a damn or do I have to go for at least a Gungnir?

dont see any reason why using vogier or patienta should make a big difference compared to each other... theyre both gonna be about the same. definitely work on something beefier if you're taking DRG seriously though

If someone was serious enough about DRG to get Gungnir, I'd probably encourage them to sell the bills and just try to save up for a Ryunohige instead. Yes, it is a LOT more expensive/work-intensive, but it's just absolutely ridiculous how much a difference there is between the two weapons. You can cross your fingers for SE waking up an fixing Gungnir (Or DRG in general) someday, but I wouldn't count on it.
It's like tripled the cost, and not something I can do without ever setting foot in Ein :(
Meh. Gungnir is like making an Almace for BLU or the like, except it actually costs money. The job is capable but people will still laugh at you. :(

Eh, I can understand the aversion to Ein when the cooldown was 72 hours, which made it inflexible as all hell in regards to scheduling, but now that it's 20 hour cooldown you can just pull together random LS friends and just go a couple times a week and you'll still be getting more ichor than you would've before they patched it.
Kin, that has nothing to do with the fact that I just came back and have no LS to do the mythic quest with. and if anything I'd make KKK because I actually enjoy pup way more than drg. Ya don't have to make a ryu to be serious bout drg :(

I tried Naul in abyssea... Brought it to less than 1% hp. I'm only getting 8-30 FP per picture and one rare 70, out of 48 pictures taken. Did they nerf them or am I doing something wrong? Edit: Nvm. I assumed FP translated directly to Zeni. First time. Pics I handed in were 1300-1550 range. Under full zerg buffs i am showing 85 masamune beating 99 tp bonus.... am i doing something wrong?
Why wouldn't it? Higgher dps from aftermath, and fudo is actually quite strong with capped attack.
