For what job and purpose?
For Ranger, Trigger Gloves are worthless, with several options that are better (AF3+2, AF2+2). Blood/Crimson Gauntlets are decent if you can get a Snapshot augment on them, and only then would you put them in your Snapshot macro.
For Corsair, again, Trigger Gloves are useless. Blood/Crimson with snapshot augment isn't needed if you have AF2 hands, which also has snapshot on them, and can serve the same use. For TP, I prefer to use AF3+2 hands.

W hands are very good for cor, they are the best accuracy piece with marks augment while keeping damage as well at the same time and saving inventory with snapshot allowing you to not keep relic gloves(fold augment is stupid so who cares).

is anyone having trouble keeping their second character logged in? it seems to vary in time but all day I've had my second character dc at 30min intervals sometimes less than that and one time it managed to be online for an hour and a half before getting the message.
Across different zones that could be considered laggy and non laggy.

ty sniper and seha as always u get the best answers here. :) and to gimp yes i was extremely laggy all day couldnt do anything except watch everything go in slow motion. and i couldnt /tell or /l to anyone at all. also a few people from my social ls couldnt log into their main chars(?) so they had to resort to logging in w/ lvl 1 mules and telling all what was going on. it seems fine today but yesterday was horrible and i only got like 6 sobek skins before it started, and i may have possibly missed a Pandy Warden win. -.- GL

Probably, but you need 6 to enter. dont need 6 to enter, it just boots you out after 10 minutes if you dont have 6 in the chamber

TH effects the 4th abj slot and the non-abj drops. NIN THF SCH should have no problem, it's quite easy to heal before zantetsuken if you have shadows up(use heal not /kneel, even if kneel sounds more fitting it's hard to time and if you're healing you're fine).

Which would be the better magic damage taken set for RDM? I don't really understand how the math works, I assume depending on how much spell damage/mob INT would decide the superior set. I guess the question would be: Which set is better most of the time?
If any of you guys know some pieces I missed(Possibly something with an augment), or know of a better set please let me know!
-51% Magic Damage Taken
+42 Magic Defense Bonus
+22 INT
-54% Magic Damage Taken
+33 Magic Defense Bonus
+33 INT

The question is more so 9 MDB vs 11 INT
EDIT: Meh I bet the difference would be so small it wouldn't even matter now that I think about it.

MDB is an entirely seperate term from MDT and is not subject to any practical caps. 9 MDB should generally beat 11 INT.

I'm not sure this is the best place for this, but here we go:
My game freezes fairly frequently when reviewing the log. Sometimes just by scrolling back, other times by full-screening the log and then typing. This happens to a couple other people I know, so it seems like it's a plugin conflict.
Have any of you have already debugged and/or fixed this problem?
thanks

It's a multibox issue, because FFXI still only uses 1 log file, even if you run multiple instances.
There _IS_ a program that allows you to start up ffxi with separate logs, but I have'nt tried it myself.

What Kvazz said.
Except I didn't know about the program... Do you have a link to it?

How much further past MDT cap does Aegis take you? Been wanting to find a link for this but thought asking here would be faster...

For those of you that visit Bg you already know the premise of this thread but for those that don't, it's simple.
Quote: This thread is for off-the-cuff questions that don't merit a full topic to answer. 'What should I wear for my level 65 pup?' 'What's the best way to learn the Qutrub Blu spell?'
General Guidelines.
Any questions goes be it FFXI related or not this community has a plethora of people surely one will be able to assist you.
Please don't bash people for asking questions hating someone for seeking knowledge even if you deem it a stupid thing to ask makes you look like an even bigger tool.
If your answer is on the large side either providing a link or spoilering the answer might be a good idea to help reduce the thread size.
Have fun!
