Today I had a horrible run where I DCed in the middle of Powderkeg's room during the first pull. Reconnected in time to avoid being kicked, raised myself and sack pulled the monsters away. Managed to get up and get over to my mule before DCing again. Got back in. Raised my main and had wasted about 10 minutes by the time I unweakened.
Left before the 10 minute warning, but it was still a fail run because I got 11 > 6 > 5 > 7 for my Cotton pouches and no Linen. No we just ate the dmg, have everyone in range (WHM can stand just outside bind/para ws) and make sure shellra5 is on. You will get knocked to low HP, but you will live. Magic Barrier or Stoneskinga from /sch is also good.
Edit: Now that I think about it, I actually think the WHM was RDM. So Shell 5 still. we go all taru ; ;so Im not sure that will work lol back to hininja plan

I'm looking to do Salvage on Bismark. Can check my jobs. Got 2/5 Ares and several 25s to vouch for experience. Have done this boss RDM, MNK, THF plenty of times. As mentioned, /SCH stoneskin is good, but not needed. Simply have cures ready after discoid and watch tp feed until hp is good again. It was the same update that made passes go from 1500 AP -> 500 AP per run iirc. Durp. To add to thread. Never duo'd but I imagine it would be possible as THF and WHM (and testimonials also saying so). I only 4-man myself though @_@;; You are correct, it was 6 man minimum when it came out.
