I have been looking around at AFv2+2's lately, as I have really gotten back into the swing of doing dynamis on a regular basis.

Therefore I have been thinking on optimizing some of my setups, and looking to get certain pieces with the Forgotton items I am acquiring.

I am aiming for this TP set at the moment for Thief.

TP set with Assassin Feet +2

Currently working on getting two Thokcha's one will be AGI based and the other DEX.
Also at this time I have most of these already, just need to acquire:

-Epona's (I have Rani pop and enough cruor, just need some time)
-Brego's (easily buy off AH whenever needed)
-Assassin Feet +2 (Already got this on +1, just need the forgotton items.)
-Agasayas Collar (Been using Peacock Amulet for a long time, will upgrade when I find time)

With this setup you get 25% haste, Fast Cast from the Homam, +10% Triple Attack, +13% Double Attack, Increases Triple Attack damage x2, and enhanced Dual Wield effect.

This could be strengthened further by having a Suppanomimi, but my main is Dark Knight and I will not part with my Abyssal Earring lol.
Raja's ring could definitely be brought in for the extra Subtle Blow, and may work better outside of Abyssea.

Has anyone upgraded the THF Feet +2 yet? is the Increased Triple Attack worth it to make this kind of setup? Thanks for any feedback.

Homam pants.. really.. >_>
Use af3+1\2 legs.
Why on earth would you want the fast cast in your tp set?

Well thats an option too, the haste+5% would put you on 27% though, so would doing that and having Homam hands instead be a better option?

I've always wondered if Demonry Ring is better than Rajas for THF tp, since Rajas doesn't even really have a noticeable influence on my TP gain (besides, I overshoot 100% more often than not)

Only thing I'd really miss is that Subtle Blow. Especially now that I sub DNC or WAR fulltime now.

Not like going over 26% HURTS your dps tho lol
Brego would still be a superior choice of hands.

Thats what I was thinking.. I was wondering if I should even buy Brego Hands or not, and I guess they can be used but only if you got Assassin Feet +2.

Any other suggestions are welcomed, is there a better neck piece out there?

Agasaya is still a solid option, but rancor collar is an alternative if you dont mind the +10% dmg taken

Well I was also thinking about the Rancor Collar, some people say its great, some people say it sucks..

I guess its situational, if you like some subtle blow for low man situations then Agasaya would be nice, but if your in a regular EXP party where losing some HP ain't going to matter, then Rancor would be better?

Maybe I should just get both.

Could fit these in there to replace Brego too, if you can get your hands on a pair

In my opinion, if you're ever fighting anything that can't do 90% of your HP in damage with a single shot (a good percentage of everything in the game) then you should fulltime Rancor Collar. :x

Well, excluding utsusemi casting, if for some reason you're subbing nin...

@Kvazz Holy hell I need to do WoE more...

Yes I had been subbing NIN when I came back to the game lately after a break, I hit the 99 cap then started doing Abyssea stuff on /nin. But over the last couple of weeks I have avoided using it, in favour of /DNC or /WAR. :)

Unless i'm in dynamis, some areas are extremely annoying if you have to use Spectral Jig lol.

I can see /NIN still being viable if you're tanking, but if you're just there for some TH action or killin' stuff, I suggest DNC because you can fulltime haste samba, which will help everyone in addition to making you swing faster.

I agree Spectral Jig is a PITA but I put up with it 'cause /dnc is the only way I'll stagger on THF D:

If you want Subtle Blow, just ask your WHM for Auspice. We have the spell for a reason :) If you don't have an MDT set already, at the very least just swap your Twilight Torque in for taking magic damage and the +DT shouldn't be much of a problem.

Ditch Abyssal, get Suppa. If you want a new ear for DRK get bale earring it is better. Nothing beats Suppa for dual wielding... nothing.

Oh, and 25% is gear haste cap, but you need 26% in gear to reach cap.

I have Bale Earring, I just dont fancy doing DM again... I had great memories from doing it.. doing it at level 99 cap would just be saddening lol.

DRK is my main, therefore Abyssal stays.

Me gusta :3

Oh only other thing I can see that hasn't been mentioned is maayyyybe Triplus Dagger offhand, it has lower delay than a trial dagger and increases Triple Attack damage (while adding 3% Triple Attack)

The lower base dmg might hurt your melee dps a little but you might gain it back with increased attack speed, also your weapon skills will average a little higher.

I got to admit, having Increases Triple Attack damage x3 and another TA+3% looks pretty awesome

Str dagger. Triplus has been outdated since 90 cap (see what I did there?).

Str dagger is probably the best offhand dagger unless you have lux/coruscanti. I don't know the math between those three, however. Triplus is pretty damn bad now compared to other options.
