Shura+1 with right augmment is much better than Aias.
Shura+1 with 5DEX 3WSD and Conserve TP is even close to Ocelomeh+1.
Its +6.5%(counting 3%TA from set) vs +5.2% +2acc +conserve TP

If we wanted to go with spending gil, Im sure saving up more gil for the Oce+1 would have been better, esp if you need it on other jobs. If you already have shura+1 Im sure no one needs to tell you how good 3% wsd is, along with acc/att/str and possible dex/att for augs. I might make another set for mid, but higher end, mid for people that want to spend decent amount of gil for it, but not millions of gil for the smallest increases. I can't afford an Ocelomeh Harness, don't do Voidwatch for Toci's, don't have Usukane yet (1/3 for body), gave away my osode long ago to a friend. Until I buy the harness/finish Usukane, this is my choice (for derping around in Dynamis/old content):
tantra cyclas +2 [STR, ATTK, ACC] or Loki's kaftan [DEX.... and STP? lol] This is my current itemset it would go on: I'll have Oce+1 hat someday for nin, need the NQ relic hands drop from dyna still, and I'll farm that bomblet someday. So are WS belts and gorgets really the way to go for Shijin spiral?
Also would atheling mantle be better than a dex 4 str 4 mantle? Gorget/belt don't affect all hits of Shijin. At the very least, Artful Belt +1 or an augmented (maybe even unaugmented?) Warwolf should beat the belt.

oh was also wondering about ancient torque decent dex and accuracy on it. Also for the time being i'm using Kacura Mittens would Ochioudos Kotes or w/e :P be better? I take it kacuras feet arent so bad though I think my minuet earring is gimped lol I've really tried to get some decent dmg output from this ws but have failed. My smites are just in a different league of my shijins.
As of today, i've lowered my merits in it to 1/5. Keeping it only for the benefits it offers for tp inhibition. But I think I'm gonna remove it all together. edit: and i hate the animation - gay peacock is gay. "qheewwww" I would think that an att augmented Jupiter's ring would beat out Thundersoul, or am I wrong on that?

wondering about whether to use demonry core vs potestas bomblet, anguinus belt vs artful +1, hachiryu kote vs melee gloves +2, etc. If someone who knows how, could math it out I'd appreciate it. just doing a follow up on the ws output since this post is pretty old what is everyone's current ws set and number compared to mythic ws and of course emp ws also what do you guys use for h2h relic/emp?
I know Artful +1 belt is supposed to be great for shijin but would Cuchulain's Belt be better? 6dex 10 attk? or is the mod being 100% dex make 4 dex better than 10 attk?

I think it would win but sadly mnk can't equip it :( I was thinking the same thing last night. About to finish Spharai and have been building my ss set to compare against vs! is this WS nice for a MNK/PUP who dont has Vere? unsure which 3rd WS to merit and thought maybe i do this one.
(i dont plan on making Vere or fakevere) What other weapons/jobs were you considering/already have? I think that will get you a much more accurate answer.
