Why would you think that. Because apparently I'm dumb and didn't know for sure if this was the case or not with MS:
It only crit because of Mighty Strikes. It's noncrit Thanks. Slightly disappointing but I'm sure that would have been super overpowered.
If nothing else, it's an awesome Souleater WS in between Torcleavers (and I'm sure it has other strengths too).

So... its a pretty much a decent multi-hit weaponskill that seems good in and outside abyssea?

It should honestly be even with torcleaver on some levels.
The Pro with using a multihit weaponskill is this.
When that 95% Accuracy Cap kicks in you arent whiffing your whole weaponskill. Just the first hit.
Double Attack turns this into a 6(7 on a Triple in Abyssea) hit weaponskill :o
With some luck you can max out at 8 hits.(Rare though)
If the damage is equal to torcleaver I'd just use Tor for the aftermath and spam a multihit.

My takeaway so far:
Scythes are unchanged.
Greatswords are significantly boosted. (except Caladbolg)
Ragnarok seems like it'd be effected most, right?

I dont really care if the scythe ws doesnt do amazing dmg, having a way to recover mp vs mobs that dont have mp, is very welcome in my book.

(idk about skillchain properites i just mix and hope XD) But yes DRK has access to self Darkness now using Spiral scythe < Entorpe or w.e so Ive never been good with SC properties but Ent.. New Scythe WS looks like Gravitation.
As for GS i've made Fragmentation if i remember correctly back to the test server!

be cool if you could do it fast enough...
(just for looks)
resolution -> torcleaver.
lets say you're a mithra..and when you do that flip at the end is when you do a torcleaver...

So heres my data on Scythe WS: I did a total of 6 WS (3 without any +attributes and 3 with only +20 INT) This was all in Ru'Ann Gardens on The magic pot type mobs:
#1 Entropy 1277
#2 Entropy 1317
#3 Entropy 924 (and i found a scroll of Burst :O!)
Without any mods my Avg. Was 1172.66 dmg
w/ +20 INT
#1 Entropy 1315
#2 Entropy 1472
#3 Entropy 1322
With +20 INT mod my Avg. was 1369.66
+20 INT gave me basically a +14.3% increase on DMG
This was done with 5/5 Entropy. More testing probably needed cause the no mod entropy 924 kinda looks like i missed 1 hit. but just a little rough estimate for those who had hope for Scythe (/cry...)

From testing, Resolution appears to have a 1.0 http://fTP. Accounting for all hits, that makes it equivalent to a 5.0 fTP WS given its 5 hits, and it also has a 100% STR mod. It's unquestionably superior to Torcleaver in per-WS damage.
I'll test Entropy tomorrow, Recover MP effect included.

For some reason my Resolutions were doing 1K-2K at points, WTF? And my Entropy WS Damage was a little more consistent...I'll post some sample WS screens soon

equivalent to a 5.0 fTP WS given its 5 hits, and it also has a 100% STR mod. It's unquestionably superior to Torcleaver in per-WS damage. Not while you have to see about capping accuracy on any given target, per above. Superior in potential sure, but not likely in application and definitely not on hard (HNM/VW) targets.
TP Bonus earring bumps Torcleaver to 5.0 even, and it only scales further from there.
Funny how quickly people forget about the golden age of Guillotine and how to gear for multihits. Torcleaver has coddled you all.
Still continuing my bitchfest tirade on the official forums to see if I can get SE to make Entropy an eight hit WS (two hits per swing). With an INT mod it wouldn't be that overpowered actually, for the same reasons as above on an even more extreme level, but oh to have those e-peen Souleater shots...

Ahh, so Resolution is modified by Accuracy? That's interesting, I missed that detail I guess...
but here was what I was getting just now, atmas being RR Apoc A&O, Last Resort up, 5/5 merits on each WS
Something was wrong on with my Resolution damage for sure, so Accuracy may have been the problem...but somehow I made Entropy worthwhile to have merited anyway

Resolution is also Damage varies with TP, though I'm unsure of the fTP at 200/300 since I decided to call it a night after testing the fTP at 100.
Given that I spend a lot of my melee time using Chant du Cygne on Voidwatch NMs, I'm not sure you can really say that I've been "coddled" with regards to accuracy and single-hit WS. You can put together a set like this:
(note: not all items in slot may be optimal)
which only swaps 3 slots for accuracy options (body/hands/waist). I'm sacrificing 9 STR and 39 attack (including gains from STR) for about 60 accuracy and a total accuracy score (accouting for skill, traits, job DEX) that is actually slightly higher than my BLU accuracy sets, which I'm pretty sure are overkill for T3 Voidwatch content... Are you really prepared to assert that the loss of 9 STR and 39 attack breaks this WS?
EDIT: fixed some slots/values

Where do people get this crap about acc being a mod? I noticed my first two Resolutions were absolutely craptastic with Heafoc Mitts on (1K), so I changed those out with DRK AF+2 Hands and they did much better. So Accuracy has to affect hitrate

At first I figured Razed Ruins would cap my hitrate anyway, so that's why I was stumped. You are right though, I guess we do have to gear for accuracy again lol

"Mods" are base stats such as STR, DEX, etc that contribute to WSC. Accuracy is not a mod, accuracy is the stat that affects your hitrate.

Come on, we barely even worried about accuracy in Abyssea at 90...

Once upon a time.... People used Accuracy on multi-hits.
Crazy I know.
