There was plenty of drama, no question.

One of my linkshells rules were to not talk in say. If you want to take part of drama do it through tells, otherwise you could be kicked, or removed from lotting anything for a set period of time.

Drama only existed because the linkshells encouraged it. If you don't feed their childish behavior it stops fast.

With that we were accused of even being a RMT linkshell, but so what. We weren't, it was just a label the competition placed on us. The server eventually figured out that they were nothing but a bunch of immature children soon enough.

I wouldn't mind an event where we compete against groups, but I find it hard to believe that there wouldn't be drama with each other. I mean... there is drama in abyssea in low man groups stealing monsters just because it went yellow. Those *** will never stop living their HNM glory days so its best to just do it some other time.

So an event that isolates you into your own group would be ideal, but what to make it worthy of competition would be a tier process. Say there are 100 different battles, but to reach the next you have to defeat the first. Then there is a ranking board where you select your battlefield with the top 10 groups and what floor they are on. Each floor is more difficult than the last and the loot gets better as you go up. Each floor has its own decent loot but the lower tier the floor is the smaller the drop % would be. The higher you go up the higher the chances are getting rare loot.

There wouldn't have to be a rare loot on each floor, can split it up between 1 loot for every 10 tiers, or something.

I would like it to be an actual linkshell event. They aren't expensive, so if you wanted to do it with random people just give them a pearl before going in. The name that is on the list is the name of the linkshell, and not really any actual players name. This would lower the epeen, not completely, but would a bit.

That would be competition, without the drama. You could fight outside if you truly wanted to but I wouldn't take part in that at all, would be better than sitting with a group bad mouthing you for 3 hours while you don't respond to them, and then win claim an they cry because you claimed it again.

I don't like this work at 100 different, easy to do tasks. I would much rather have 10 relatively difficult tasks to do that the fights are difficult to win. VW can be like that if they just would let people distribute items they don't want... but well all know where they stand on that.

Be honest how many of you(unless you're a new player) have your best memories post-Abyssea?

I have a few... but they're all linked to old content.

Abyssea was great in that it reinvigorated an aging game with lots of brand new content. I had renewed hope for the game when I heard Abyssea's team leader was taking over as FFXI team lead because, if nothing else, Vana'diel as a whole might finally have some fresh ideas applied to it as well. 17 months later, however, aside from the introduction of what's become THE endgame event (Voidwatch), all we've really seen are those same ideas introduced in Abyssea used and abused throughout the rest of the game. It's tired and just plain annoying now. Surely they can present other changes/updates to make all jobs/content relevant again without beating us over the head with this proc system or making every last NM popped? I know I can think of one or two (hundred) off the top of my head.

They just need more battles that are unique that uses different aspects of every job to complete. Having messages that require a pup isn't enough, people just say oh well.

These events have to NEED these jobs to complete. Not just to proc, and actual need for the job to win.

That is really the only way you'll get all the jobs back up and running.

The top 2 reasons for wiping Fafhogg:

1. Lag resulting in CFH or Darter mistarget.
2. Mob flashes white, another group grabs hate and purposely flails everyone to get a shot on the wipe to reclaim.
How is possible that u didnt understood yet? This was the funny part of camping lol, i went to camp only for the purpose to see the drama!
Plus u forget the other mpking way^^ sleep a spider inside fafhogg and he will start to spin flailing the pt (if faf) the whole aery if nid.
It was too *** funny, the drama part was absolutely the best thing of hnm along with the best item of the lvl75 cap game.
