Catastrophe set help.
just recently got my Apoc and need a good setup for Cata please advise. Only looking for a WS set i have aftermath covered.

Lacking separate Aftermath and Non-aftermath sets for TP. Apocalypse Owners, I am disappoint.
i dont think they are lacking. OP said he didnt need help with that so i assume they just didnt waste time posting it.
I think its for the STP for 5hit.
I am assuming its to keep an x-hit build. He uses Armadaberk in uncapped, for attack, which most likely also has STP augmented on it.
Ofcourse I have an AM down set lol.
Yes both WS sets are to keep my 5hit. Armadaberk has stp6 da3. grim +1
Ok sorry. I didn't understand a seperate macro for an 8 attack swing.
*edit* 17 with ammo, but still I was confused Here's the poor man's way to a 5-hit.
can swap out ammo, the belt and the back for WS and keep the 4 hit rebuild. Tactical mantle sucks!!! I sold my tathlum a while ago and am waiting for the new ammo piece so until I can get one, I'm stuck in 6-hit city. could be true, could be false, but from my experience with them they are almost always on point with their info~ We were already aware of this.

well ive always assumed it and still see ppl talking about it from time in game as if it was in question. i have personally never come across the topic on forums.

Very similar to other sets posted here, but I am able to use a Pole grip over a Rose strap due to my TP set. I'm still waiting for SE to come out with a "beats all" option for hands, but until then I'll stick with Onyx as they are not worth selling. When Grim +1 came out I thought for sure it would be the best body for Cata, but as stated above attack is so easily capped nowadays that Twilight is the clear winner. 5-hit TP, Aftermath up: (Armadaberk with STP+6 DA+3 Subtle Blow+5) Why not use Heafoc and Spiral?

I'm not great with ffxi math but let's say 700 base attack + 62.5 attack if endark is 400 dark magic skill /20 x 2.5 + 12.5.
765 + 25% (last resort) + 10% (stalwarts which i couldn't find a value for online while at work). Without debuffs im looking at 1025ish attack and that's not even 256th'ing percentages right. I recall reading somewhere something about 1200 attack needed to cap attack (was in a torcleaver thread) on voidwrought and you only have last resort like 71% of the time... Pretty sure Stalwart's is 25% but I'd have to go back and check.
