Trying to setup an access point for my DS, its asking for SSID (which is my network name, if I understand correctly?), my WEP Key (which I found and inputted), and when I go to test the connection it fails. DId I do something wrong?

Regular DS, DSi, or 3DS?
Regular DS can only support the old Wifi types, like Shared-WEP.
Check what type your wireless router is. (I'm betting WPA2, I had this problem with my old DS)

DS Lite, and how do I find that out?
I have my router pulled up in my broswer atm.

Usually you just access the router w/ your browser and it'll have the option under Wireless information somewhere.
Also, when I was hooking up my DSlite to McD's Wifi a few months ago (so i could get a Pokemon Wifi event for my JP Black game) it also did the same thing.
I'm 99% sure it's the encryption.

I had to change our router from WPA to WEP so my son could connect his DS.

I have a Wireless Security Tab, and it shows 4 different keys (assuming all are WEP keys), and it says Default Tranmit Key : 1, does that mean the first key is the one I use? If so, it doesn't work when I try to test the connection on the DS :/

So yeah I just set up internet connection for my DS, not too troubling, had to change settings to WEP as I'm pretty sure is probably the issue you're having.

If so you should be able to pick the 1st of those 4 and that would be your WEP Key.
