So you can buy the item and make up the gil by farming for 1/10th of the time to camp an NM, but farming is monotonous and really doesn't make your accomplishment seems like, well, an accomplishment. I don't feel like the item is really worth as much if I didn't make it drop myself. This is obviously a personal quirk of mine, but I'd much rather go off to fight LL when I feel like it than sit down with a Mountain Dew and a bag of chips and farm for 5 hours. Killing Thread Leeches (my farming activity at the time) for 5 hours isn't quite as impressive or fun as killing an NM. In short, yes it's less efficient but I have more fun. Personaly 1/16~

I'm with Gaea on this one... If I can make the gil required to buy an item that has a rare/ex equivalent faster than I can camp the NM / get claim / get drop, then I'll just buy the non-rare/ex. I dunno about the 100k/hr... But I can make at minimum 20-30k/hr. 1/14 O kote
