yeah the video was posted some months ago. doesnt matter if he is a genius or w/e i could not care less. but i like this theory because it would be really badass if it was that way. which probably is not going to end up like that in the manga, but who knows.

I was tired, leave me alone! D: The theory was that Shikamaru *made* a time travel jutsu and sent Naruto back in time as "Pain".

Instead of that...what if Kabuto got ahold of the Sage of Six paths body? Think about it, he *is* the Ten-tails Jinchuuriki. Which is what Tobi/Madara is trying to become.

it passes trough a translator, so he original speech/talk/message could be misinterpreted a bit, and autor's original [hidden] message can be lost. this has happened before and has made the translators go back to a chapter and re-edit it, but I feel Seha is right, and also, it would be anti-climatic or a shitty story if we can guess who the main villain is :<

You'll see that Nagato was supposed to use Rinne Tensei on "Tobi." As you see he says on me, not on Madara. When Madara comes back from the coffin he says that "That brat Nagato managed to grow." I'm assuming that putting Nagato in the world must have been a plan of his to eventually revive himself back into it, and it's something Tobi did either because he is Madara and that was his plan, or he told Tobi and Tobi carried it out.

I'm pretty sure it's not Madara's brother. I'm pretty sure he is dead. It was said in a databook that he is dead.

I thought of this aswell, perhaps the masked uchiha is madara's memories, or something in a zetsu body, and he wants to revive the true body. May be worth to note, though, didn't tobi(madara?) mention the rinnegan was his?

I think of memories as kind of a soul thing. Which leads me to believe that it's not like some kinda of mind, body, soul switch. With Edo Tensei the soul of the person must be in the pure world or "Heaven/Hell" in other words, their soul must be in the after life. Not sealed, not on earth, and not in another's body. So either he must have completely split his body/soul/power so that there was two of him, or he out right died and somehow his power/goal/info was given to "Tobi" and he had to use that to further his goal and later revive the real deal.

Now with the first, he'd be at half his power, but it makes perfect sense for him to split into two, gather the Shodai's cells, flee, and let his other half die so that he'd have the perfect get away.

It makes the most sense from what we know about the Ninja Universe, however Kishimoto is good about throwing wrenches into what we believe we know is only possible. ><

I don't see how Orochimaru could be Tobi, he's displayed a power on another level than Orochimaru had.

Orochimaru also got sealed by Itachi in the Sasuke Vs. Itachi fight. :< So he can't be tobi since tobi was fighting naruto them during that time.
