I don't think you even need to tell people anymore.. FFXIV is clearly more fun than FFXI anymore and people are going to know it soon. True it's more about *who* you play with but XIV has really come along in the last few months.
If SE's XI team wants to still compete they need to really step up at this point.

O.O that's a lot of patch notes, good! Still waiting on ps3 and gonna go back to ffxi and get Lv.95 to mess around soon but i'm now pretty certain i'll be playing 14 for years to come. /cheer Yoshi-P
Where do i put this patch file?

Getting an "11023 unable to access server for version check.(4:20455,10009,19900,12152)" error when I launch FFXIV after DL'ing and installing this patch. Its not even connecting to the server to check if my client is up to date. Anyone else also not able to even start the launcher?

Still takes me to downloading sequence again. make sure the downloaded patch is in the different location or you didn't copy this patch to them because they are the same. I think you need to make sure the downloaded patch is the one you copied to the my document>FFXIV game file name some 483esf or something.
uhg.. update taking too long. wth is wrong with the updater this update
Took me 6 hours to download it, took my friend 5 minutes.. I blame Comcast.

the update is strange to me. ti seems they severly nerfed items too high for you? my spiked knuckles are 48-43. that's weaker then if i got the level 7 knuckles, on my level 24 pug. i went from doing 100 something a hit, to 5? damn. profundity actually increases your magic attack pretty high, going from 70, to 250. my casting bar is broken, anyone elses? either it stays filled, or fills up, and stays filled for about 3 seconds, until the spell finally goes off.
How are you even playing? ffxivcore.com server status page says everything is still down except Palamecia.
