Ghorn, Worth It Anymore?

My ghorn is currently dynamis horn, and was wondering if with all the new horns out now if it's still worth finishing, or should i just switch to another relic?

It's not exactly... that useful. But it's not exactly useless either.

It's a great instrument for Scherzo and March too.

I'd complete it personally.

This but add in ballad and get a Duradabla and give 15mp/tick (just from instruments).

Finish it and hope SE realizes that +anything to songs is rather useless and not a unique enough buff in comparison to Aegis or any of the other relics really. They hinted at Massacre Elegy being implemented but its use limited, so hopefully that's the direction they take ghorn.

It's great for March, but with Marcato available not so much, and every one can cap Scherzo @95 capped skills and normal gear.

Do it. If only for the sake of being able to tell people "blow my horn of gondor".

i think LV99 will be completely outside of abyssea again, so BRD+RDM will have their place again, so yea, relic will be worth it

didn't they say something about ghorn getting an exclusive song or something @ 99?. don't feel like finding info /lazy :(

edit- prob better off waiting till 99 to see what final trials/stats it gets.

Yeah people assume that massacre elegy will be ghorn only as they said not any old brd will be able to use it

Being inside or outside won't make a difference in the use of the Ghorn.

SE never said they would be adding it to G-horn specifically, they just said they were thinking of ways to make it much more difficult to obtain and/or keep it exclusive.

and meet the required circumstances, you'll only be capping it sometimes outside Abyssea in a conquest area, and it has to be not under your home nation's control (so almost never, lol).

or unless you wanna use the feet slot on Oracle's Pigaches, but you'd be wasting your Scherzo bonus on the feet, and you'd be crazy to get rid of that :P .

Of course a lot of this gear won't be necessary at 99, but it's still a nice piece to have, considering direct Scherzo bonuses bypass the cap, you can hit 49% damage reduction (maybe 50% if they make ghorn All Songs +4 at 99? :D)

Merits into only singing or only wind would get you only 16 skill from merits.
Put 1 merit into whichever you didn't merit (singing or wind, whatever), and you'd be at 801. 815 if you did full merits in whichever you didn't merit.

Point being that if you have full merits into one category, there's a good chance you'd be willing to put them into both singing and wind. There's no reason to not be capped out at 800 skill 100% of the time.

You could have merits in Singing and Wind, for +32.

sorry, i knew that! i'm just not thinking this morning lol. i was taking into account that you'd be 8/8 in both singing+wind, yes. i was just looking at the 8/8 in each skill and not thinking of how much it gave XD

in any case I'd still get a ghorn, just imo. i cant see it being rendered useless in any way, and, like i said, who knows what 99 Gjallarhorn will bring ;P as well as if theres more songs effected by skill at 99, with higher caps than Scherzo.

Carnage Elegy is 50% slow, mob version of Massacre Elegy is 100% slow. I don't believe it they will nerf it, just maybe have you work for it lol.

I have 8/8 blue magic too! To be honest I have a pretty weird combination of merits in general lol.

As long as you have Building Flourish, we don't care about the rest.

Also back on subject i'm really hoping ghorn gets something at 99(well all relics for that point) that makes them the best again, should go mythic > relic > empy for strength imo
