Camate Community Rep	Since Comet is a brand-new spell as well as a dark elemental spell, we decided to increase the damage and magical accuracy a little bit.

I like how it's worded, well since it's new and dark elemental we may as well boost the damage and magic accuracy! It only makes sense.

Thanks Kalilla for posting all of these updates, it is a lot easier for me to read them here on ah than trying to dig through the official fourms.

They should add an official forums update tab on the left menu of ah and let you continually post the update findings to one spot so they are even easier to find!

No Screenshots cause I'm lazy but ~2.8k on TW mobs outside Jeuno, ~5.4k in abyssea using MM/Ultimate/Cosmos so... meh.

Still looks cool though.

That's with Pluto's, full AF+2, Hecate's/Novio, Strendu/Sorcerer's, Goetia neck and back, Oneiros Sash, and Witchstone

Seems kinda low still...

Dark Magic, shouldn't your MAB pieces have no effect?

I vote it's time Dark Elemental Magic Potency become a meritable trait for BLMs

Now you've got me second guessing myself and I'm off the test server to double check but fairly sure Comet is a Darkness Elemental spell, and my numbers clearly show that adding 50 MAB ~115 INT increased the damage

The changes might not have been implemented yet?

Finally, I will be able to kill a light elemental!

If you are finding issues with the spell you should make a post on the official forums, they don't read anything here (at least I don't think so >.>).

Does anyone have any comparable numbers for this? naked? with a nq ele staff vs like a thunder v with another nq staff?

I just got comet today and using ultimate, MM, and beyond i was only able to land about 1k to 1.8k to Cirein Croin, im unsure how the damage works on this spell lol... back to testing i go

(ToM staves with dmg +5, INT +1 grip. Inside lolabyssea : 2 int +7 rings, outside 1 int +7 ring and a SR)

Merits :

- 8/8 elemental magic skill
- 5/5 Lightning Magic Potency
- 5/5 Ice Magic Potency

Water day, no weather.
No set bonus, no critical magic.
Capped elemental skill.

For Blizzaja and comet (both have "Successive use enhances spell potency"), i used the spell twice on the same mob when i could.

Outside jeuno (target = Tabar beak, Too weak lev 95) :
- Blizzard 5 = 3088 dmg
- Blizzaja = 3436 dmg (with a single target)
- Thunder 5 = 3207 dmg
- Comet = 3300 dmg

In lolabyssea (target = Bluffalo, Decent challenge lev 95) :
- Blizzard 5 = 5978 dmg
- Blizzaja = 6607 dmg (with a single target)
- Thunder 5 = 5059 dmg
- Comet = 5257 dmg (first time), 5520 dmg (second time)

Atmas : Ultimate, Baying Moon and Beyond

In Gustav Tunel (target = Boulder eater (very high INT), Incredibly tough lev 95) :
- Blizzard 5 = 2453 dmg
- Blizzaja = 2801 dmg (with a single target, first time), 2939 (with a single target, second time)
- Thunder 5 = 2579 dmg
- Comet = 2700 dmg (first time), 2834 dmg (second time)

so thundaja will prolly really own it. whats the spell cost for blizzaja? don't see it anywhere.

And hopefully ME-TE-OR will own that

Blizzaja = 380 MP
Comet = 367 MP
Thunder 5 = 294 MP

and then thundaja?
