macro for Sirona's Ring

Has anyone else had trouble with this?
I don't have any trouble with any other ring, so I can't understand why my macro that includes this ring won't work (the rest of the macro works, just not this ring).
I have tried re-writing it several times, still same problem.
If you have had trouble, and you were able to figure it out, pls reply.
Thanks ^^

Is it a windower macro? Spellcast? Default FFXI Macro?
List more info please, including how you wrote the macro out so we can tell you what's wrong.

Should be
/equip ring1 "Sirona's Ring"
or
/equip ring2 "Sirona's Ring"
right?

Its a long shot but have you tried adding a space at the end of the name of the ring?
iirc long time ago there was an issue macroing the Graiai Earring, apparantly there was a hidden space "Graiai Earring ".
Like I said its a long shot, if ur making sure your spelling if correct, etc.

/equip r.ring "name"
/equip l.ring "name"
I'm not sure if Sirona's Ring is one of those rings that are misspelled in translate though cause some items have a different macro name.. can't think of an example atm though but it has happened in the past

Only thing that comes to mind is maybe it's shortened for some reason. Like Sir.'s Ring, but I doubt it. Check to see if /translate "Sirona's Ring" works. If that doesn't then perhaps it's something in the overall macro? Which is why I was wondering the entire macro, and not just the ring line.

This. Just /translate the ring, see if it pops up. Or find the auto-translate and use it between the quotations instead.

I'll try that when I go back in the game tomorrow, thanks.

I have tested this macro without this line in it, and it works just fine, that is why I know that the Sirona's Ring is the problem.

Are you trying to put left and right rings on at the same time?

yes, but I have never had a problem with THAT before....is that supposed to be wrong? It works with other macros and other rings for me.

yes, but I have never had a problem with THAT before....is that supposed to be wrong? It works with other macros and other rings for me. That would only error out, occasionally if its the same ring in both slots.
Ex;
<lring>Diamond Ring</lring>
<rring>Diamond Ring</rring>

It's a rare ring so that isn't an issue. They don't error out, you just have to hit the macro twice to equip them both if its the same exact ring.

I'm pretty sure it's ring1 and ring2 in standard XI macros.
By itehjuggalette 2011-06-16 01:13:59
I'm a spellcast user. I had a Sirona's Ring in my XML for Cure V's at some point on my alt. As far as I know it macroed fine. Can't say for sure what the issue is :\

Automatically equips gear depending what action you take.
