Has anyone attempted to make a decent Yu set? Just curious if it could do decent damage non-brewed. If anyone has what would be the best set/atma's to use for it?
Atmas for it, if you really wanted to go nuts on Yu, would be ultimate/noxious fang/ (i think) Hell's Guardian also has superior MAB+... if not, use Beyond, since it has 30 or so MAB... if you're going for a full Yu set, get 2 MAB+ int+ katana, they are mad easy to get, and pump on the dmg a decent bit... or get 1 MAB/int and 1 "WS dmg+10%" katana to mainhand... I have a jutsu nuking set for my nin, and the 2 sets (jutsu nukes and Yu) are basically the same thing...
I've had good results using various combinations of the following:
Ultimate/Beyond/Tusked Terror and/or Noxious Fang (I don't have Hell's Guardian) /RDM, Ascetic's Tonic, +INT food, Innin, as much Magic Attack Bonus as you can get. Like Eikechi said, your :Ni/:San nukes and :Yu are basically the same. :Jin will still out damage :Yu, but the damage with :Yu is like 99% consistent. YU mod = INT and STR

already got it , dummy XD I been doing BLADE: HI for the last 1 month or so XD maybe more but yea.... 3 days after that post i got kannagi 85 working on 90 now and Almace Damn, I'm dumb.

MAB/WaterAttack(Atma only afaik) is the best way to go probably. Basically what Elkechi said. Demon's Rings augmented with MAB, Moldavite/Hecates/Novio Earring, Augmented Body from ACP?. Still without a brew I doubt it's worth anything over going full DD, but if you're just trying to get amber light I'd stack MAB. Even going for Amber, would probably be better off with Aeolian, honestly.
Here's the problem with Blade: Yu. *Assuming we aren't talking about brewing, in which case you're a *** moron for not aeolian-ing multiple NM's*
It's dex and int, not str. You're given the opportunity to use RR for the 50 dex (WS mod) and overall DOT ... even if you combine it with two MAB atmas it won't come close to jin or hi. Therefore, you'll be stuck in the middle of abyssea with two shitty atmas and forced to do one of the following: 1. Put out bad Jin/Hi numbers and feel stupid. 2. Put out horrible Yu numbers and feel even more stupid. 2a. Ignore RR and use a third MAB atma, your Yu's will be better but your overall DOT will be absolutely pathetic. End result: Building for Blade: Yu will make you feel stupid and pathetic. What kind of Jinpu numbers can NIN hit? For amber purposes I mean.
