As for me I would have been in 7th grade science.

College, in a very boring class. We were dismissed shortly after.

Just got home from school, saw it on the news as it happened

Same here, in Detroit. Especially after the Christmas Underwear Bomber scare a few years back.

Day of 9/11, there were so many planes (much more than usual due to the "down every plane in the air for security measures" thing) and living 30-45 minutes from Detroit Metro Airport, makes you a bit nervous for a good few weeks. Many of them were flying lower than normal too (for my area).

I was in the Philippines. <.<; lol

Temple University, Philadeplhia PA. Computer lab. There was a buzz of sorts around the people because no one could get on any website at all. Then the news started trickling in from people. I thought it was a mean spirited joke at first.

A kid in another computer lab started freaking out and saying he was going to go home because universities are another prime target. Me... i went to my next class, hoping it was cancelled, but it wasnt... no one could really concentrate though.

It's pretty surreal looking back on it.

I was ditching high school inside a LAN House I think.
As I recall I was playing Starcraft ...

When I heard about 9/11 I was shocked.

I woke up that morning and in an odd move for me, I turned on the news instead of whatever it is I used to watch in the morning, some Law and Order re-run, I think. I was literally just in time to see the 1st tower fall.

To say I was sitting there with my mouth hanging open is an understatement. I had no idea what had happened. It was only over the next hour or so that I began to see the chain of events, and the horror of it all had me in tears most of the day. 8(

I remember this day so well...

My friend and I shared a house, and we were both passed out after late work nights. My mom called, he answered the phone and handed it to me. She told me to turn on the news, and I couldn't believe it. We just sat there watching for what seemed forever. That night, I had tickets to a Lifehouse concert for my girlfriend at the time and me in Chicago, so it kinda sticks for that reason. Just so glad I didn't have any family in New York, couldn't imagine how bad that would have been.

Was at my babysitters, as I was only 10 years old. Wasn't really sure what was going on, especially since I didn't even know what the twin towers were. I don't think it had as big an impact here, but we still felt pretty bad for the Americans. Some people worried about the CN Tower getting hit O.o

Trying to watch Digimon.. It got cancelled. D:

woke up to my friend knocking on my door, freaking out about the attack... went over to his place (was my neighbor) and watched it on tv with his gf. then went over my parents house and talked to my brothers about all of us joining the military, which we then did

Sleeping... had the day off... my mom woke me up and turned on my TV to the news.

I was writing a journal about my pet fish in one of the low grades :L I drew a pretty picture to go with it!

just woke up and was getting ready for a college class - I was a senior at Southern Illinois University when it happened.

I was in the Navy as a medic stationed with the Marines watching the news coverage on TV as movers packed my stuff, 30 days later I was being stationed in Spain wondering if my orders to Spain would be canceled to stay with the Marine Unit I was already with (1/7 in 29 Palms, CA).

9th grade shop class...heard a tower got hit so they turned the tv on, then as we were watching, the 2nd one got hit. Strangest day ever. Doesn't seem like 10 years ago either.

I was in the 5th grade,I had just gone to the library with my English class, we were sitting in there checking out books, my librarian had a TV on watching the news eyes glued to it and my teacher had her eyes glued to the TV...My thoughts were 'Meh ok something interesting on TV...' I was the last to check out my book, and was heading to class when I passed by the TV to hear 'OH MY GOD!! THE SECOND TOWER WAS JUST HIT! OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!!!' I had no clue what that ment till i got back to class and saw my teacher with the news on the big TV and in this utter shocked state... I had no clue how this affected me till i heard no bells ring to get out of class, and the principle came on the intercom and told everyone 'Let us bow our heads and have a moment of silence for this is a terrible tragedy for everyone to face. If anyone needs or would like some counseling, the counselor will be in her office.' Then the bells rang, and I went to my history class where My dad picked me up telling me it was not safe for me to be at school, that schools were under a bomb threat alert, which scared me to death. We went home and sat in front of the TV watching the footage all night...

10 years ago... god how time flies... and yet i still remember... Hell i didn't even like my english teacher. She was mean but i will always remember her, my history teacher and my math teacher of that grade... ._.

I was in 7th grade, and I wasn't even aware anything happened until 2nd period / break. I didn't ask outright what the heck happened, just heard snippets until I finally figured it out.. something horrible happened. I don't remember the rest of that day, just comforting my friend when she finally came to school a few days later - 9/11 was her birthday.

me and my friends were on holiday on a spanish island. We first heard of it from a girl's mum that called her crying on the cellphone and talking nonsense saying that they bombed new york.
At first we tought was some kind of joke and everyone was like "wtf is this?".
a couple of hours later we went home and turned on the tv and saw the images. and seemed all so surreal, really we couldnt believe our eyes.
And to be honest everyone was in this "holiday mood" taht it took 2 days for us to really understand what happened (also because we were in the middle of nowhere and papers were coming with a day delay).

Conspiracy theory or not i feel for the thousands of victims, their families and all the people involved in the rescue operations.

Barely arrived to the united states so i had no idea what was going on or what the twin towers were lol and my lack of English didn't helped when i was in the the 6th grade

on a boat.

I was in 10th grade, in my French class and my teacher ran out the class freaking out.

I was in High school English class, I heard that a "helicopter" flew into the first building... found out later on it was not a helicopter it was a plane... and when I found that out The second one landed into the building... All my class had to do was look out the window... I was in Brooklyn during that time... I can't believe I didn't hear a bang... o.O

I was home sick with a swollen shut eye..

I was young yet, and my Dad told me to turn on the news and watch.. So I turned it on and fell back to sleep afterwards

But I remember the feeling of panic when the second airplane hit..

at home, playing Final Fantasy Chronicles: Final Fantasy IV and listen to howard stern. i was hearing him on his live show as it happened, at first for 30mins i ignored it as background noise and then i decided to put the game on pause and change the channel and there it was.
