I wonder if people still remember the days of writing letters to another random person, you know, pen pals and all. If people can fall for people that way I don't see how it's much different than online dating. Then again it's 2:30 in the morning, so I could not be thinking straight and/or incorrect.

I'm in love with a girl i never met that lives on the west coast. been pen pals for like 7 years. sent her flowers/chocolates and a teddy bear this past valentines day and a necklace on her b-day. She knows that i love her and she likes me but its the distance that is in the way. and until we meet in person she thinks me more of a friend then a potential partner

Reminds me of my first real relationships. We lived 4 hours apart and were still in high school. I tried to see him every weekend, but it got really taxing as far as money went and not only that, but energy. Driving 4 hours is exhausting. Relationship lasted a month, longest one I had. :/

Well we both agreed that yeah. we both like each other. distance between us is pretty far. If we both met in person; yeah we'd most likely go out together but yet because of the distance I think we both want to keep our options open and not be totally dependent and only seek each other out just incase we aren't really compatible. Because currently we're just going off our writing personality and pictures until we can afford decent mics/webcams. I do talk to her on the phone every so often though.

And to avoid quote training... why not talk to her on the phone more volkom? Texting? Idk would hate to only get a message from someone I cared about so infrequently. Even just friends.

I can't remember where it was, maybe it was here, but I remember the topic about how girls tend to like ***. Maybe it's the same with the gay community, too!
