That's very cool you two will get together as a result, in spite of all the other stuff that might have happened. :) For sure that's a solid foundation of having something in common like that...I know of tons of players that try so hard just to get their significant other to try out FFXI and it's like pulling teeth. :p

I want a awesome story of how i met my girlfriend/wife and how/what we did on our first date. and I would totally do the anniversary yearly gift thing. so like 10th year anniversary would be diamonds. and i'd send flowers/poem and if i get home early i'd make a homemade dinner *sigh* can't wait for that to happen D: i want to make a stew now ><

Serj: Yah, that touches on what Spence says about the whole endearing serendipity-backstory-romance. ^^ But the sad reality I run into myself trying to just meet casual everyday happenstance-people are that most aren't going to be compatible for a number of reasons, whether due to marriage or sexual preference or life situation, or age or whatever.
The whole online dating thing at least eliminates that randomness, and doesn't limit you to the daily patterns your own life takes (or rather doesn't...like the number of people you might meet if you simply shopped at another grocery across town instead of the one you regularly do, etc.) LOL
(Not sure if my point is contrary to what you are talking about, though.) :p

Getting together online seems a helluva lot more viable when you've already been with the worst of the worst. lol I suppose this is how it happens for a lot of people. Not that it was meant, just happens that way.

People just like to look down their noses at things that are different or unconventional.
As a whole, humanity is rather pathetic.
There is a lack of comfort you have to admit. If you're going to do it it may as well be in a huge social setting.
No I do not have to admit that because I do not agree. People find comfort in different ways.
