Another method to get girls is by just babbling about things that sound intellectual. Heres an example: "Kafka, while his works are a shining example of post-war nihilism, was actually a romantic author that dabbled in elements of Duchamp-inspired Dadaism."

SHE WONT KNOW WTF YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT.
And you will be winning. It doesn't have to make sense, trust me, i have no *** clue what a Kafka is.

I saw this all the time, but served 95% of my term of service during peace-time. So it was like elite training and badges were the only thing that some people had to brag about over others.

Well, this is definitely not what I think when I hear Guam! Very enlightening. Kind of takes the luster out of my mental image of Guam.

bragg isn't really representative of the military lol, you get all types, i always managed to find a group i fit into

it had a lot more of my people than college does, at least so far

people who take the interservice rivalry thing seriously aren't really that common, it's a thing for dudes who never grew out of the high school mentality, the people who actually enjoyed pep rallies

Cause you get out at noon everyday and don't do a goddamn bit of work while I'm in the engine room till 5-10pm everyday and have duty every 3 days ***.

It's owned by the US but really ran by the locals who are sterotypical pacific islanders. Military is most the economy there which when I was there was only AF and navy. Navy was almost all subs there... so yeah.

Lot's of asian tourist too.

Saddly the chain of command promotes that kind of ***. And the guys up forward largely actually didn't have work to do. 90% of the systems were down and actually not even on the boat anymore. And alot of poeple in control tried to compare us to them. *** I had training more than half of them worked.

At one point we couldn't wear our coveralls "cause nobody does work let alone dirty work and it doesn't look professional". Oh yeah except the guys who are and you yell at cause there is tons of oil where they work and you can't get that ***out. Was even worst when one of us did it so it made it look like we didn't do ***. When in reality that douche bag just didn't do anything (or in one case wasn't trusted with anything) and yet one guy in particular despite constant *** ups at his actual job but since he played navy so well got the early promotions and even got an award for what someone else did a couple of days after a tagout violation that could've killed him and caused hundreds of thousands in dmg.

Yah for certain that is the one thing that private sector has over the military--that tendency to actually reward and recognise competence and efficiency in operations, whereas in the military it's more about getting a job done (or the perception of a job done) and where the credit for doing it is ultimately allotted. :/
