So I was wondering what the lowest manned setup ppl think they could make to beat DI. I personally think it takes 3 now NIN/DNC BRD RNG but I wanted to know if anyone had any idea on how to fight him with less ppl

or just time your ws so you can get full dmg from the back.
and cdc, not atone. RNG sucks for ixion, get real DD that know how to TP on it properly and avoid its TP moves and it dies much quicker.

sam takes too much dmg, and you dont 'fleehack', DI has delays between melee and tp moves which allows a short window to spin behind him and connect full dmg.
replace that pld w/ a mnk and cut that time in half!
not likely since you cant counter the normal DI, and eats shadows way too quick. whm probably wouldn't be able to keep up mp and would cap hate extremely quick.

Doesn't suck, is just less efficient if you have the man power to kill it with melee DD. sam doesnt take that much damage lol god forbid there is one fight where you have to use seigan/third eye
cdc pld would kill faster if you're going to full seigan, probably with hasso on too.

My LS has 4 manned it with WHM BRD NIN THF.
Can lose the WHM if the 2 DDs have experience in avoiding most of Dark Ixion's TP attacks. In short: 2 DDs to bounce hate (THF helps with collab so the other DD can successfully land WS from behind), and a haster. Edit: At the 90 cap, the 4 man set up took about 30min to kill. You could always claim DI with 0 Throwing skill, it's not hard at all before you claim him, he has like....no evasion at all :<

Soooo PLD WHM is the way to go eh ? Friend thinks you can NIN/DNC x2 but that seems iffy too x.x
Im sure you could if you just avoided the lightning aoes

On PLD with 23% mdt and shell5 I was being hit for around 800 tops by wrath, which isn't bad since my pld has about 1.6k hp now outside abyssea (5/5 af3+2 equipped too). If I had Ochain, could blood tank DI on PLD without too many problems i'd think, but since it's not abyssea and it's lowman got to watch how much dmg you take still since DDs will likely need to be kept near full hp in case they hit a wrath w/o mdt gear on... you don't want a slow fight afterall. So if a pld can survive with capped mdt then a nin could as well, i'd say it matters more about how good your healing is, how sharp they are with silena etc if you do get hit by an aoe move. |
