Warrior is obscene, i came back the other week got upto lv82 or so and did a 4245 raging rush with my Byakko's axe, no stalwarts or champs tonic, just zerk. craaaazy maynn
Yeah WAR can do insane damage, but as always.... better have a hell of a WHM to keep you alive. WAR- defense, evasion - LAME

WAR- defense, evasion - LAME People *** about it because they can't play their jobs right. SAM can spike pretty high with Jinpu DRK needs Torcleaver to really hold it's own. MNK/WAR/DRG/DNC/THF all have critical hit weaponskills so they do just fine. What makes WAR powerful is retaliation and the fact when they counter you get TP in return like a normal hit. This destroys monsters that multi attack. Though your standard AH/Perle/Aurore DD are going to *** and whine. Survival isn't a huge deal if your WHM has atmas.

LOL @ Skarwind... as always adding your two cents where it isn't needed or wanted. I'm not bitching about the job, just the lack of being able to solo with it. My NIN/DNC SAM/DNC can solo 1000 times better than my WAR. Oh btw +1 and +2 Ravager's Gear. Not some cheap ***AH stuff. I couldn't see a tp-bar so I'm guessing brew or something...was that Metatron or Ukko?

It's obviously not brewed. Probably just maxed out on Store TP, and getting in the retaliations which don't animate due to other animations. Being able to 5 hit is pretty crazy, and not like I know everything about Store TP, but if it doesn't cap out, then with atmas it's very easy to get up to about 27 TP per hit(probably more). Factor in TP for being struck as well and there ya go. Possible regain from COR as well as moonshade earring and other stuff. It's not really so farfetched or amazing.
Could've killed it faster if he was gear swapping? I've tanked Tabilla Mnk/War and literally got up and went to make a sandwich after putting up counterstance. Who gives a ***lol.....
ya thats what i was thinkin. damage was not impressive at all.

Well WAR IS overpowered and needs a nerf...
EDIT: Though that video is nothing special. 5 hit without atmas or regain is already doable, and not -terribly- hard. The biggest things you need to give up is Atheling for tactical mantle (Losing 45 ATT and 3% DA). To go from 5 hit to 4 hit you need.. 39 more STP for Ukon, for a total of +93 from base. If you do 2x major STP atmas (+20 each) you can still use Razed Ruins. Sounds like a fun thing to try, especially if you are blood tanking like the guy in the video.
If you are doing it with Bravura, you can even keep the Atheling in, eat carbonara and 4 hit without giving up haste at all. WAR is OP

Yes, Because Your ukkos damage would be even higher, And there's harder mobs out there than a worm., quite frankely The war in this video is doinitwrong, not sure what the fuss is about, people should be crying at the fact he doesn't gear swap. |
