Really?!

Found this awful and funny at the same time. A guy in my linkshell had supposedly hired a PL. So Tibond, 69WHM, shows up. The guy trades him 40k to PL his party, so Tibond casts Protect and Shell on the group, then warps out. About 20 minutes later, he comes back and offers to trade the guy in my linkshell. He puts up 1k and sends him a tell saying "I already spent it." I'm in a party reading all of this in Linkshell chat and laughing my *** off, though I do feel bad. Note this is not first hand information and I cannot prove it to be true.

1 . Why would you spend 40k to PL
2. I the case you do pay someone to PL the party, you pay him /hr after each hour of worthwhile Pl'in.

Its his Fault for having a random person he probably didn't know come to cure and trade him 40k for doing nothing.

I actually see this Tibond guy often, and I have PT'd with him before. I approached him about this and he said a GM contacted him and told him to return it and he claims he did. He also felt he did nothing wrong in taking the money and running.

He and his friends should be avoided IMO. They were all pretty obnoxious.

Honestly I think the only people I take money from for PL jobs is from my linkshell and that is only because they offer it in the first place, I haven't touched WHM in about 6 months now but I know I have been asked to PL (at which I usually turned them down since I was either A) busy or B) didn't want to setup my macros again)

I generally just did it for the skillups.

I've partied with Tibond before. He was pretty much the worst WHM I've ever seen. Constantly being half-afk from battle, casting cures too late, not using the correct staves for healing and resting, etc.
He was level 71 at that point and had pretty decent gear, so I suspect he bought his account and never actually played before.

Sounds like he was doing something else while playing FFXI, probably porn or something ><b
