Has anyone used this? is it crappy like tender touch, or is it a stronger version that keeps dura loss at 0 on success?

Yes, but it only takes durability loss when elements go Chaotic. Not when they destabilize the first time. AKA: free progress.

ok nice, so even if your standard/bold etc fails you'll take 0 dura?

0 durability loss for any action (Not sure if that's right if you use the wait command, but why would you? :P) Even when the element grows chaotic, you only lose 4-6 durability when the ability is in effect. Absolutely worth the hefty action slot cost. :D

comment from YG, guy claims it messes up your craftsmanship and increases your destabilization, any experience with this?

Apparently, the ability will also reduce your chance for successful actions, but like usual with synthesis, it's already pretty random.
I've had this ability equipped and used it whenever possible for a while now and I can't see any definitive reductions in success rate of performing actions. On the note about it increasing destabilization, I'd think that would be because you should technically see fewer successes and more fails, which in turn raises the chance of an element going unstable.
