it should do more damage, but you should be able to do it with a physical ws too, unless you get unlucky.

I made a third attempt the other day brewing Shinryu and won, got the belt too.

I used one MAB atma and 2 water damage plus atmas, used an aesthetics temp item and went to town.

He only lasted through 3 Blade: Yu's took about a minute and a half for clear time, and I got the last bit of damage from one of them SCing.

Went something like 17k, 17k, 14k SC, and 17k dead.

Definitely the way to go.

Just unlocked AE for my NIN this weekend.


We're going to be spamming some Rani's for my LS in a week or two, what's going to be better for brew? I'm sure both would do but just curious.

NIN brew with Martial Knife + MAB atmas doing AE
or
NIN brew with MAB atmas doing Blade: Yu

If your gonna use brew for rani i suggest doing AE over Yu but if you have Blade: Hi I would do that over both of them..

I'd suggest using Blade: To Using Beyond, ultimate & Apoc
I have no picture of proof, but I once oneshot Sobek with a 61k Blade: To.

I think Sobek is weak to Ice, I think all(most?) Buggards are, appreciate the help though.



Biggz, care to elaborate on why AE over Yu, is this specific to Rani since you mentioned it?


I do not have Blade: Hi (yet) unfortunately.

Not really, it solely casts ice based magic, not sure out of irony or by nature.
But if it helps the normal brew damage for Blade: to was about 21k-30k, this was on various nms like Shinryu and the like, Havn't actually brewed Rani Ironically , Hope this helps though!

blade: hi doesn't really have the same potential as any elemental ws while brewing. you can use it if the timing for yu is bad, but i wouldn't use it over an elemental ws otherwise while brewing.
