:D I'll tell you how I'm right. It's quite simple.. Infact I already said why I'm right.
It's better to be at home bitching about the asshat of a driver that nearly made you eat pavement at 60MPH than be in the hospital with a few broken bones and a serious case of roadrash bitching about the driver who made you eat pavement at 60MPH.
Who cares if legally you were in the right a way, does the law take back the pain? When someone injures you, you're lucky to get your medical bills taken care of and months, if not a year after the fact (been down that road, I already know), and for what? You could have simply avoided it all if you didn't feel the need just to prove a stupid point.
Legal or not, responsibility or not, be more careful if you're a biker. The driver who hits you isn't the one that ends up paying in the end usually, you are. Through blood, pain and hospital bills.

you should be careful in the first place dude, you are just being too dumb to even understand something as simple as that, and obviously from the way you put it you only think people that ride motorcycles are able to read the words that you post advising taking care in driving?
WEll without further ado here is my reply.
Quote: Being on both sides (a biker that nearly got hit, and someone who nearly ran over a biker)
Being on both sides, that means it was you in the wrong in both situations using the logic that only bikers must be more cautious, is this correct? If it's not what exactly does that mean?
Does that mean people in both cars and on bikes should be more aware of the road?
I think so
I have to tell you, bikers should really do more than they already do to stay safe.
What bikers?
The dipshits that break the laws?
This is implying that all bikers don't already take precautions in regards to their safety. So again I don't get how I am incorrect.
So if you plug in my change to motorists, that applies to everyone...meaning everyone should take caution while on the road...how is this incorrect?
You'd have to be pretty dumb to think it was.
Even if you are legally entitled to the road and are in the right of way, the jackass that ran the redlight will most likey be sitting at home in 48 hours, you could too, if you were more proactive about safety.
So wait the jackass who run the red light isn't being cautious either?
Welp lets only advise the bikers, the jackasses should just do the same as they always do lol. tldr on the quotes.
So call me delusional whatever the *** you want.
You might have more at risk being a biker, but that doesn't mean that you have to adhere to the laws of the road and pay attention to your surroundings any more than you already should have been.
CASE and POINT.

Why do you always have to twist everything? You're the one that's completely missing the point. This is also the last I'm going post on this because we're already jacking this thread for something stupid to begin with, but this needs clarifying.
Does being in a car mean you can just drive oblivious to everything and everyone? No. Did I say or imply that? No. I said if you're a biker take more care. I've seen countless bikers 'take chances' so to speak, even though what they did was completely legal, where they could have easily been turned into road kill.
What I said, is bikers should take more care, based on my own observations of all the bikers that I see, because in the end, they are the ones who are going to pay, legality or not. You should be extra careful when riding on an open-aired 2 wheel vehicle surrounded on all sides by lumps of steel weighing 2,000 pounds + moving at 30+ MPH.
You know, I do like you, it's kind of hard not to, but sometimes you pick some of the dumbest ***to try and argue over. Yes all motorists should be careful and aware of everything around you, but the margin for error is drastically reduced for motorcycles, at least when it comes to your own safety.
(not stopping here to 'have the last word' I just don't see any reason to keep derailing it after this point, I've made my point and clarified that point.)

Nah, if you would not call me delusional every time I have an opinion that doesn't really even change the point of your statement maybe I wouldn't have to go with this ***.
I still stand by what I'm saying.
You should be safe regardless, and being that motorcycles are different than cars you should be able to understand the fundamental differences that you have to factor in when driving a motor vehicle.
that being said there are a lot of stupid people in this world and just telling them to be more careful won't make them go away.
if you had called me delusional when i was being a bit more unreasonable i'd understand more..but i don't really think my edit made your post not make sense anymore.
it just brought it to a broader less specific sense.

I've never heard of Hyosung.. Is that a UK only brand? All we really have over here is Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Honda, Harley, Ducati and KTM, with the occasional BMW.. Well that's all you'll really see anyways.

Cheaply made, notorious for parts having shorter than average life expectancy. It's actually not that big of a problem really, just finding parts for them can be a real ***.. Some use parts modeled almost exactly after older mainstream brands (a 2000 china bike might use a nearly identical engine as you'd find in a 1980 Honda) and you can just buy those parts... Others share common, but unique (to the cheap bike market) parts, many different brands will be identical, even though the two manufacturing companies are totally unrelated, and some use entirely unique parts that are a *** and a half to find.
Before you invest in a cheap bike, spend a couple hours looking around to see if you can find the full range of parts you can expect to have to replace in a bike's lifetime, including the entire top and bottom end rebuild kit, clutch, and even the transmission..
That's just my suggestion though. It would suck pretty bad to spend a grand or more on a bike use it for 6 months, have to replace a part and be completely unable to find it.

Super Edit: she pretty She sure is. BMW bikes are teh sex, IMO (at least in terms of looks).
I am writing this topic for fellow riders to post about their current bikes, favorite riding spots, next bike, etc.
My ride is a 2005 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R.
Some of my favorite spots in SoCal are riding up and down Pacific Coast Hwy (PCH) between Dana Point on up to Long Beach. Another favorite spot is riding Ortega Hwy (CA State Hwy 74). You have to start early Sat or Sun b4 the cagers and wannabe's wake up and ruin the ride.
Keep the rubber side down...
