Ice/Thunder potency

Enfeebling Magic 8/8.

Elemental Magic 8/8.

8/8 MP since MP is hard to come by now-a-days. Well unless you're a Taru then you can do whatever the hell you want.

If you only ever play blm or are thinking you will play blm a lot in the near future. 5/5 Int.

They told you to merit fire and ice because at the present moment they are the strongest Tier V nukes blm has, you could merit fire potency now but be ready to take it off and do thunder once you get Thunder V next level increase.

Not like getting merits to swap stuff around is hard nowadays lol.

You can Do Elemental and Enfeebling(I have Dark, but I'm NUTTs)

It wont hurt to do MP and Int on a Taru (I'm a Taru too)

Thunder and Ice will be your strongest 2 spells so it's wise to merit those. I have Fire and Ice because it's my personal choice. I like to watch stuff Burn.

Beware of Enmity Increase/Decrease. If you're only going to do Mage jobs and not EVER tank, then go ahead and merit Enmity Decrease if you wish. If you plan on tanking, leave Enmity +/- alone.

In the end, they are YOUR merits and you can do whatever you want with them. Do what you think will help you do your job better. Merits are so easy to come by now, you can always rework them.

Much Luck!

Frankly resist rates on mobs nowadays are pretty much easy to land spells or they are immune. So I demerited my ele/enfeeb to only 4 each
