Why the *** a guy thinks it's his place to put hands on a woman is *** beyond me. The shitty part is I'm so so so pissed off at her right now that I don't even feel bad for her. I guess I should just let it go. I'm 900 miles away, which really sucks because I can't even really be there for her when she needs me. We were never close at all growing up and we still aren't, maybe I should just keep on with the distant relationship and drop it?

Happens once in a marriage, okay thats bad family helps out. Happens again and you're oblivious, no you're partially responsible at this point.

Dating is trial and error, but geez! There's a pattern there. To go more in depth...
Nothing you can really do about it :/ She has to wise up on her own.. if you tried to get in the middle of it, it might backfire and her end up hating you.

She's never been alone, which is part of the issue. She went straight from living with our parents to running away (she dropped out our senior year and we didn't hear from til 2 years later.) with some *** that she left for another guy. After that, she went to another guy, another, another. She would see they were trash and she'd dump them. She was never single for more than a week.
I think part of her issue is having her friends and family be right. We've told her people are trash and she refuses to hear it til she gets beat on. I had a roommate in college who's BF beat her senseless on our front porch then camped down the street in his car waiting for us to go to class and/or work when she would be alone. We took her to file a restraining order. She didn't do it. Then she went back to him two weeks later. Some people are just masochists. Sad.

Suppose I'll just leave it alone. I'll stand by what I said, I'll have nothing to do with her. She's family, my sister, so I do feel like it's my problem too, but worrying about her when she isn't going to change is just gonna give me an ulcer and make my baby a spaz... more of a spaz...
