So I had my first internship at Phoenix Metro Tech today. That place is super epic. First of all, it's gigantic. Their library is huge, there are smartboards everywhere and all the computers are up to date. For lunch, my professor (who was acting as our trainer because this isn't a typical internship but rather a "writing center" within the school) took us to a restaurant in the school. And by restaurant, I don't mean like a Pizza Hut in the cafeteria. It turns out that there's a place they have where it's isolated for just the faculty or visitors. There, the food is cooked by and served by students of the school (under licensed culinary teacher supervision, of course) and it turns out that their food is actually
quite fresh. By that, I mean they have a huge garden where they harvest their own vegetables on site and check this: a full goddamn tilapia hatchery!
I wish they had stuff like this when I was going to school...
