So I learned today that gamestop's return policy is utter *** >_<. I LOST 15 bucks buying Dark Souls :(. They only gave me 6 bucks to turn it in. If I would have bought it used I would have had a full refund.

Don't worry, this is less infuriating then some parts of DS.

You have to understand there are different types of people, and there are different types of gamers, so everyone plays differently.

What you might not consider fun someone else loves, and vise versa. There are people who love to math things out and do equations and there are others who don't enjoy that and would rather do something else.

People are different, and that's a good thing.

Not really, just because it's the best doesn't mean you have to have it. I only kept a basic understanding of how stuff worked personally and used the best that was at my disposal.

As long as the criticism is constructive there is nothing wrong with it being given, it's you choice if you act on it or not. As long as stuff is getting done at the end of the day and your group is ok with it it's all good, now if you have willingly joined a more elite group or participating in an event requiring a standard of gearing that's a different story. I generally don't care what people are wearing but over in XIV I sent someone to the wards with a shopping list once because it was that or replace them because their damage out put was simply too low for the battle to be a success.

Again, if at the end of the day it gets done and everyone is ok with the rate it doesn't matter, but if you are holding X number of other people back you could be ruining all their fun.

Yes and i fully agree with this. However, it's when it is pushed onto others that i have issue. It's one thing to provide a source of information for people to work towards and leave it at that, and something completely else to shut people out because they don't do things a certain way.

Edit for second post: I should point out that it is not me that i am most concerned for. I have some friends who, according to some groups, is beyond worthless due to their gear. That is just infuriating to me. I try and help others to improve themselves, but it's the elitest groups that just put their foot down and refuse to help newer or less geared players

Well I bought it new, because everybody praised it so highly, I figured it was worth the extra couple bucks (since the game is cheap now), to get a copy guaranteed to work from the get go, and wouldn't have issues because PS3 discs are good like that :(. Turns out I really couldn't stand it, and now I'm out 15 bucks. Kinda sucks to me is all.

When you play with others you also have responsibility to not hold the group back. If I leader think you're not good enough for the task at end you either step up your game or find other likeminded people.
Some game activities can be done very casually, but others require to be strict. I, for one, was very strict into chosing members for my Legion ls cause it's not something you can take lightly. But if the same people I excluded from Legion wanted to farm abyssea or whatever, I wouldn't care even if they were full pink.

A) Sleep your friend till they become uncharmed
B) kite them around if you cannot sleep
C) kill them and laugh about it

Myself? I kill them because i know they would do the same to me lol. I also turn right around and raise them.

Silver Knight Straight Sword is often overlooked for it's fairly low AR. It's R2 is actually rather strong and fast with low stamina consumption. Like, two times the power of an R1 attack strong. And just barely slower than an R1 swing seed fast. And it's nearly as long as the Baller Swag Sword.

And it's stylish as ***.

Really depends on how I'm feeling in that moment and if the friends can handle that sorta joke... If they might be necessary then A or B, if I can solo it anyways possibly C

I'm actually at the Tempe campus as well. The Mary Lou Fulton school is there. But yeah, if I see you and notice (I'm sorta bad at noticing people) I'll make sure to say hi. I usually go between the ED buildings and the LL, as well as occasionally the MU and the Hayden Library, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Every LS I've been in, bar one very very serious LS, was all for killing charmed members. it was all in fun. I was probably killed the most. Specially in my last LS by Ofelia. Dat in-abyssea Quadratic Continuum damage.

Always C! lol It used to happen to me ALL the time in old dynamis, and everybody would always get a good laugh. Thundaga 3 from EVERY blm, when doing glacier orcs was always frustrating lol. Hell these days, I do 99% of my besieged (when it's undead) on sch, just so I can Manifestation Kaustra and watch whole groups of people drop as I cackle like a mad man :D.
