Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?
By Jetackuu 2013-01-03 16:29:11
Zah still around? I want to "learn her something" Z did you ever respond to this?
What?
OK, you know how in the decimal system:
the number 513 it's read as 5, 1, 3.
the 3 is in the 1's column, the 1 is in the 10's column and the 5 is in the 100's column in terms of weight? (sorry if it's confusing, I think the point is better gotten if I can draw it, but alas we're on a forum.

Oh ***, Blue! Is it hereditary or spontaneous? You had another child before this pregnancy, right?
The one I have is incredibly common. It's basically an extra electrical wire in my heart. Sometimes it causes the signals in my heart to loop and it makes my heart rate jump from 70ish to about 190. I was born with the extra wire dealy, and actually you could have it too, or anyone else in the thread, you just don't know it because it doesn't 'activate'. It doesn't do any harm, just sucks really. The stress of being pregnant makes it happen more often.
In most cases, they can fix it by sending a catheter up to your heart and 'burning' the extra dealy, but mine is too close to my normal rhythm that there's a huge chance it would throw my heart out of whack and I'd need a pace maker so they just monitor mine.

Okay...Lesson on!
in binary each column has different weights.
like 0101 1011
starting from the far right the weights double starting with "1"
the columns have weights like so:
128 64 32 16 8 4 2 1
0 1 0 1 1 0 1 1
then you just add them up.
that would be 91.
as you ignore the 128 and the 32.
the 0 means off, the 1 means on.
you only count the on bits.
(sorry if the columns are a bit off, I guess I could make a table...but am lazy). they're very off, making a table now, gimme a few.

Jesus Christ! Do the odd palpitations have any effect on the blood circulated to the fetus? They wouldn't recommend an evasive surgery during your pregnancy, right? Are you still in the first or second trimester?

My pops had that... Don't think that it can't be a problem though... It can do a lot of harm and actually put him in the hospital for a little bit... he ended up getting that ablation surgery to correct the problem... It also messed with his sleep his heart would go nuts and wouldn't allow him to settle down...

It's not harmful to me or baby at all. All it really does it make your heart go nuts like you just ran a damn marathon. I guess it can be dangerous to either of us if I pass out, it makes me hella light headed sometimes, but passing out isn't common for me. I'll be 18 weeks on Monday. Got a quick appt tomorrow to check fetal heart rate and then Thursday we find out what we're having. They'll give me a c section @38 weeks at the latest, but not for the heart reason. Everything seems just fine right now!

It's more about knocking your heart out of rhythm than interrupted blow flow. If your heart goes out of rhythm and stops then you'll have interrupted blood flow, but as long as that doesn't happen blood should keep pumping.

I'd have to look again for octal myself lol... (my memory is bad (pun not intended)).
hex is rather easy once you get binary down.

It can be a problem for some people, I'm sure. I didn't mean to make it sound like it doesn't cause problems for others, I just meant in my case. I got it the first time I was pregnant 4 years ago, and it's the same stuff every time so I'm not worried about it. Worst thing it does to me is makes me burn food because I HAVE to sit down sometimes, no matter what.

My question is why would you need to be able to read binary? We have computer programmes for a reason.
By Jetackuu 2013-01-03 16:47:23
it's a fundamentals thing, some people just like to learn.

I love to learn as well but learning binary just seems so totally pointless. You will never need to be able to read it in anything you ever do.

posted this a few days ago, but feel like related
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
