My brain just has a hard time thinking that when I'm used to people adding the ellipses to emphasize their anger or sadness. He does it all the time so when he's actually sad or mad about something I NEVER KNOW.

Sometimes I've stared at my phone wondering how to respond to something purely based on his ellipses. I know I shouldn't read too much into it--but there I am.
