randomly wondering, if random ideas, that have been selected here, are going to be fixed here, or rather than being shoved and put under the rug, at the FFXIAH?
Randomly thinking how men act like they don't care till you kick them to the curb then they bend over backwards to try and win you back...
depends on the individual more than the sex, methinks
It does to an extent, but men are still the conquerors they were thousands of years ago.. They like a challenge.. If you really wanna get down to it, a lot of men will break up with women, consciously or otherwise, just to win them back and conquer. Of course it's a little deeper than that, but put simply, that's all it is.
If you look around, there are countless examples in your own life of this, either you doing it, having it done to you, or people you know personally.. ~SOME~ make honest mistakes, but mistakes alone can't account for how many times this happens nor how common it is.

So I should go back to wearing them tight red shorts that ride up my *** so nicely lol. (maybe then they will care all the time) Good Logic.
Was just pointing out that you women aren't any better about acting like you don't care then bending over backwards to come back in the same situation..
However, yes please put on the tight red shorts that ride up in your *** so nicely, take a picture, and post it here.. I will tell you if they ride up there nicely enough :)
Is it better to quit my job the right way (two weeks notice, formal letter to management, etc.) and keep the good reference, or go out with a bang--so to speak--and potentially ruffle some feathers?
Any good ideas for the latter option?
how old are you
what is your next job, is it lined up solidly
can you account for the lack of reference to go out with a bang etc
i'm pretty trollish and i'd still suggest picking up the reference if at all possible, especially if you're midcareer
I'm 23, and this is my first career-type job after college.
I have nothing lined up, but I'm planning on going back full-time to finish grad school while trying to complete/sell a couple books. (I'm not a very practical person, but my wife is and she balances that out.)
The company I work for has a pretty poor reputation, so I'm fairly certain I would be able to explain away any bad behavior. However, since it is my only work experience in this field, it's still going to reflect negatively on me.
I'unno, I pretty much despise everything that the management of this company stands for, so I want to stick-it-to-the-man. But, that might be a career ending move, if I ever try to get back into editing.

are you absolutely certain of making it through grad school, i'm not saying you won't but it doesn't hurt to have a backup plan in case of disaster
i.e. hit a bentley and it's your fault and exceeds your coverage, you get sick in a very expensive way
and grad school suddenly becomes impossible
what do you mean by a negative reputation? negative to the point where an interviewer would say "oh it's cool how you blew them off, i hate those guys"?
i'm all for sticking it to the man, but perhaps not to the point of burning my bridges to do it

I asked first, so you provide first, then I will be happy to oblige.. I should warn you though, I don't have a white man's ***.. I have a black woman's booty.. Ask my wife.

To be honest, I'm not really certain of anything. I just try to roll with things as they come. You do have a good point, though; without this reference and an incomplete grad degree, I'm back to square-one on career prospects.
I'm pretty good at spinning things in my favor, so even if an interviewer has never heard of my current company, I'm sure I could convince him that I was the hero. The problem is that not everyone wants to hire the hero. The quiet, agreeable peon is often preferred in entry-level work.
I suppose, it works out best if I just go quietly. Maybe send them an over-the-top letter once I'm sure I won't be needing the reference anymore (if I still care at that point).

can always do something that's not really traceable back to you if you have an axe to grind
but don't feel like dealing with negative consequences

Today's random thought: >.< irritated that we got a new firewall at work and I can't get on here during the day now. But I suppose that might be what's best for my sanity.

you can try ffxivpro.com if ffxiah.com is blocked at work. Should work
I was able to get on FFXIAH.com yesterday morning, then in the afternoon it was blocked. Tells me they're watching my internet activity. I really don't want to lose my job over this site. Although it helps my day go by a lot better :( No more lurking ; ;
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
